Recently, someone forwarded to me a video that homosexual sex columnist Dan Savage appeared in on the website Funny or Die that was intended to threaten Republican Rick Santorum, with the redefining of the name "Rick".

The reason that this is concerning is because Dan Savage successfully did a smear campaign on Rick Santorum a few years ago, when he took Rick Santorum's last name and added a nasty meaning to it. I'm sorry to have to do this to you, but I must share the definition that homosexual activist Dan Savage attached to Rick Santorum's name, so you can see what I mean:

Santorum: The frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex.

Sadly, to my knowledge, Dan Savage has been able to get away with this libel and not suffer any consequences for his actions. All that you have to do is Google Rick Santorum's name and you can see the vilification.

Now, Dan Savage has launched another brutal attack on Rick Santorum – under the guise of humor – by threatening to redefine his first name, "Rick". You can see the video at Funny or Die, but be warned: It's pretty nasty.

Here's the point of me bringing this up: Despite the fact that Dan Savage, who is a very militant homosexual activist ­ (as proven by the aforementioned actions), ironically is the very same Dan Savage that started the "It Gets Better Project" in September of 2010. The purpose of the "It Gets Better Project" is to inspire hope in young people, presumably homosexual, who are facing harassment and bullying. Yes, you read that correctly. FULL POST

Many years ago when I was in graduate school and had just started to blog I discovered this amazing thing that I labeled “attention competition”. Attention competition simply means that people compete for anothers attention, because they have this major desire to be noticed, regardless of the cost.

I saw this at work in graduate school when students would kiss up to certain professors and want to assure great grades. I also saw this in the blogosphere, way back in 2004-2005 when it was relatively new to most of us, with the advent of the Truth Laid Bear “Ecosystem” – I aptly renamed the “Ego-system”. And of course, as I studied and learned all about online safety and taught numerous classes on that subject to other therapists, and other people in the church, I saw it with our youth.

But sadly, even though I understood seeing attention competition within grad school, the blogosphere, and with the youth – one place I didn’t expect to see it was within Christian media.

Well, that’s not completely true. Naturally, since Christian media is media and people are drooling for ratings and advertisers, there has to be some competition – but honestly, I never thought that I would see the day when pretty prominent and godly Christian leaders would get so wrapped up in their egos and ministry personas that they forget that they really aren’t “all that” and the Lord doesn’t need them in that ministry. Recently I had the opportunity to review Oklahoma State House of Representative Sally Kern’s new book The Stoning of Sally Kern: The liberal attack on Christian conservatism and why we must take a stand.

And I wanted to share my thoughts with you about this book, as well as the title of this blog post. First, to be clear, Sally Kern uses the term “stoning” in the sense of being verbally stoned. This isn’t the stoning one would think of in some Muslim country where people can be stoned to death.

Second, I titled my article The Stoning of Sally Kern Continues because if you go to Amazon you’ll read a number of fallacious so called reviews from people who have an axe to grind, didn’t read the book, and simply hate Sally Kern for her unwavering commitment to truth.

I believe that every SERIOUS Christian should read her book. If you’re someone who calls yourself a Christian, but you don’t care about your faith, or you’re some pastor who just wants to feed your church junk food, I can assure you that you’ll be frustrated by Sally’s story. On the other hand, if you’re someone who is serious about your Christian faith and you want to see what happens when you actually stand on what the scriptures say, and you speak boldly about the sin of homosexuality – read the book. You’ll be very encouraged by Sally’s faith – but even more so, you’ll be infused with courage in your own faith to not compromise. FULL POST

If you’re like me, you spend a lot of your time on the Internet engaged in email and social media conversations. Back in the day when we only had email I remember when I would send out a simple little email to people at church about what was happening in the culture. Sometimes it would have a story about abortion, or the latest with the homosexual movement and how they were striking at Christians, and I would receive back not email thanking me for notifying them about the decline of our culture, but instead, nasty email telling me that I had no business sharing these things with them, and demanding in all caps that I remove them from my email list NOW!

I have to tell you that I was shocked at what I was reading from my fellow Christians and churchgoers. I was amazed, just about every day, when I would get a nasty email from someone on my email list, just demanding I remove them because I was being divisive or “unChristlike”. I always laughed at the later insult, given the person writing me being blinded to their “UnChristlike” character. FULL POST

In the early seventies, Leonard Ravenhill, a English Christian evangelist, wrote a book called Sodom Had No Bible. And in his book there is a chapter titled Sodom Had No Bible in which we read the following:

Sodom had no Churches

We have thousands.

Sodom had no preachers.

We have ten thousand plus thousands.

Sodom had no Bible schools.

We have at least two hundred and fifty.

Sodom had no prayer meetings.

We have thousands.

Sodom had no gospel broadcasts.

As a nation we are richly blessed with Christian broadcasts.

Sodom had no histories of God's judgment to warn it of danger.

We have volumes of them.

Sodom perished in spite of all these disadvantages. America today is living only by the mercy of God. The only reason we are not smoking in the fire-wrath of a holy God is mercy – m-e-r-c-y, prolonged mercy!" (p.31-2)

I share this because recently Pastor John MacArthur made news when he said that he believed that America is under divine judgment from God. Speaking at the 2011 Resolved Conference in Palm Springs, CA he said the following: FULL POST

I have a T-shirt that says Intolerance is a Beautiful Thing, and it's amazing because when I wear that shirt, the reaction of people is either a sneer or an affirming nod.

Some would sneer because they either had not read the back of the shirt, or they immediately thought something like, "Ah...excuse me, it's people like you that are homophobes and bigots who are completely intolerant and I don't find that a very beautiful thing."

This person, obviously had been indoctrinated by the leftists and in particular the homosexuals who have used the word tolerance to beat people up who do not agree with them. To this segment of the population, the word tolerance doesn't really mean tolerance. What the word tolerance means is you either believe as I do, or I will make sure you feel my public whipping.

A perfect example of this is exactly what the homosexual activists have done this week with Michele Bachmann and her husband, who just happens to be a therapist and has treated individuals who struggle with same sex attraction.

If you didn't know the truth about the Bachmann's and their counseling clinic, all you would think is that this couple should be stoned and put on an island like Alcatraz or worse yet, given the death penalty by lethal injection because of their alleged intolerance of homosexuals. FULL POST

I've been thinking a lot about the whole way that homosexuality has been marketed the last few decades and as I was pondering the different tactics I've seen, one thing that came to the front of my thinking was the whole idea of the theory that there was in fact, scientifically a gay gene.

For years the homosexual activist community would argue that all of the scientists have found something that suggests there is a gay gene. But of course, when someone actually produced the research that suggested this theory of a gay gene, there was nothing to be found.

Then a few years ago, in 2008, to the chagrin of the homosexual community, Peter Tatchell, a well known LGBT rights activist in the United Kingdom, wrote an article titled Homosexuality: it isn't natural – Ignore those researchers who claim to have discovered a 'gay gene' – gay desire is not genetically determined. Last week I was given an opportunity to speak at the annual Future Quest youth conference that took place in El Centro, California. It was an experience that I truly desire for all serious Christians to pursue – equipping the saints, beginning with our youth.

I was invited to this event to speak on the subject of homosexuality and the transgender agenda. Now you may be wondering what a nice girl like me, is doing talking about such an uncomfortable and controversial subject, so I will tell you.

Almost ten years ago, I was invited to attend the Los Angeles Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network's three-day weekend training event. GLSEN was founded by Kevin Jennings. Kevin Jennings is the guy that President Obama named as the Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools at the Department of Education – which anyone who knows anything about GLSEN and Jennings found ironic.

At this GLSEN event I saw and witnessed things that literally changed my future. At the time I attended this GLSEN event, I was in graduate school earning my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, and pursuing my dream of becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist.
