Historical Signficance Of Temple Mount

Introduction

The temple mount has historical and religious significance for all three of the major Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It has particular religious significance for Judaism and Islam, and the competing claims of these faith communities has made it one of the most contested religious sites in the world.

Judaism

The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism, which regards it as the place where God's divine presence is manifested more than in any other place, and is the place Jews turn towards during prayer. Due to its extreme sanctity, many Jews will not walk on the Mount itself, to avoid unintentionally entering the area where the Holy of Holies stood, since according to Rabbinical law, some aspect of the divine presence is still present at the site. It was from the Holy of Holies that the High Priest communicated directly with God.

According to the rabbinic sages whose debates produced the Talmud, it was from here the world expanded into its present form and where God gathered the dust used to create the first human, Adam. Since at least the first century , the site has been associated in Judaism with Mount Moriah ; Mount Moriah is the name given by the Hebrew Bible to the location of Abraham's binding of Isaac, this identification being perpetuated by Jewish and Christian tradition. By Prince Chakanyuka

Zimbabwe is to embark on religious tourism by end of year 2014 in order to boost its foreign currency inflows. Zimbabwe has got a population of about 13 million and the majority of the people are christians.

Zimbabwe's tourism minister, Walter Mzembi is a man on a mission to introduce and promote religious tourism .He has endorsed one of Zimbabwe's rising Prophet ' Magaya "as he released figures of congregants who attended his big Sunday service. “In order to encourage religious tourism, church-inspired and faith-based business can now ride on the back of these two statutory instruments in order to grow their faith based business opportunities and here I cite conventional centres, restaurants, transport business because the church itself has become a market,” he said. “In July 2014 Zimbabwe witnessed 180 000 parishioners along the Masvingo highway near Waterfalls in Harare where Pastor Magaya was ministering,” Mzembi said. “If you have 180 000 congregants; if each one of them buys a bottle of mineral water at $1, that’s already $180 000 in circulation on one single product line called water,” FULL POST

Dealing with Adultery,homosexuality and Fornication

By Prince Chakanyuka

 You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word. (Psalm 119:65)

Every Christian has to live according to what the bible says concerning his or her own life.Many are now focusing on other peoples lives and are forgetting to perfect they lives by the word. Gays and Lesbians have come under a barrage of attacks from christians yet they themselves are living inadultery,deceit,lies and life of fornication .Gays and Lesbians have accepted who they are and they have have to deal with their lives according with the word.The same God who hates homosexuality is same one who also hates adultery and fornication.To deal with all these issues every christian has to live according to the word of his grace.

David was a man who basically lived by grace (that is, by depending on the Lord to work in his life).Remember David at one time commited adultery and murdered a man because of his lust.Consequently, he trusted in the word of God ("the word of His grace" — Act 20:32). David lived according to God's word. Psalm 119 bears substantial testimony of what can happen when one lives in this manner. "You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word." This strategic phrase ("according to Your word" ) has two implications: living in line with God's word and living by the provisions of God's word. Therefore, those who live according to God's word not only find their direction in the Scriptures, they find resource there as well. FULL POST

Ministry of Life (Spirit) ,Grace and Mercy

By Prince Chakanyuka

The bible in book of Corithians reads:The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious . . . how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?" (2Co-3:6-8);

These verses contains the contrasting choice that results in people either living by bankrupt human resources, or by bountiful heavenly ones. This contrast is "the ministry of death versus the ministry of life." These terms come from correlating four phrases: "the letter kills . . . the Spirit gives life . . . the ministry of death . . . the ministry of the Spirit." Of course, the old covenant of law is the "ministry of death," and the new covenant of grace is the "ministry of life" ("ministry of the Spirit . . . the Spirit gives life").

Jesus said in John 14:12 "Greater things than these shall ye do ;because I go unto the Father and ye behold me no more .Jesus expected us to operate under grace and not under the law.When people attempt to minister by the law, spiritual deadness results. Since the law sets forth a perfect standard, but offers no assistance, it "kills" those who try to live by it. The law was a tutor leading us to Christ and grace. The new born again christians are not under law. Jesus said a new commandment I give unto you that you love another. Only those who minister by grace can hold forth life to people, because grace alone can provide the life that God intends for humankind to experience. Ministry is to be engaged in by individuals, families, and churches. Every ministry will either be characterized as a "ministry of death" or a "ministry of life." Contact with ministries either brings spiritual deadness to people, or it brings spiritual vitality. FULL POST
