Dr. Charles Stanley — First Baptist Church Atlanta senior pastor, In Touch Ministries founder and president, New York Times bestselling author — turns 80 this month. Stanley has modeled his ministry after the apostle Paul's message that he relayed to the Church in Ephesus in Acts 20:24: "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me — the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." This year also marks the Christian leader's more than 40 years as the shepherd of his Atlanta-based ministry.
Charles Stanley, “America’s Pastor,” has devoted his life to bringing Christians closer to Jesus Christ. His mission through his teachings? To lead people worldwide into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to strengthen the local church. His heart's desire? In his words, it's to bring the Gospel to "as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, as clearly as possible, as irrestibliy as possible, through the power of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God. His teachings are deeply rooted in the Bible, as he notes, "It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes people's lives." To celebrate Stanley's 80th birthday, Logos created the brand-new 46-volume Charles Stanley Collection — which is available at a substantial extra discount through the end of September.
