The Christian Post would like to recognize our May 2012 Blogger of the Month: Matt Moore, the author of Standing on Truth.
CP Blogs interviewed Matt Moore.
1) How long have you been a blogger?
I've been blogging for about a year, since March of 2011.
2) What motivates you to blog about homosexuality?
I blog about homosexuality because it is part of the lifestyle that God saved me from, and with seeing all the confusion and deception surrounding the issue, I want my words to be a source of clarity and truth.
3) Do you ever get nervous writing about a topic that seems to be a controversial subject? If so, how do you handle it?
Nervous writing about it, YES! But only because I don't want my words to be taken the wrong way and become a stumbling block for someone who is sincerely seeking out truth. I strive to make sure my words are truthful, yet saturated in grace and love.
4) What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
My favorite verse is Romans 15:13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."... It reminds me that our God is a God of HOPE. He is pleased to give us an eternal hope and peace and does so by giving us His Son. Believing on Jesus Christ is God's gift of hope to the world, and to me personally.
5) What are your future plans for your writings?
I am currently writing my first book and working on ideas for the second and third books. In April, I signed with the Blythe Daniel Agency, a literary agency representing Christian Authors and Speakers.
