Stephen J. Mitchell

Pastor Stephen J. Mitchell is a 25 year old Youth Pastor at Trinity Bible Church, a non-denominational Christian Church in Severna Park, MD. He was raised in Frederick, MD and has been a ‘born-again’ Christian since age 12. By the time he entered high school, Pastor Steve began developing a passion and calling to reach out to this generation of youth and to show the relevancy of the Bible to their every day world. After graduating from Valley Forge Christian College in PA, Pastor Steve began a Youth ministry at Trinity Bible Church called ‘The Refuge’. It is a weekly gathering with an atmosphere of safety and love from the brokenness of this generation’s world and points them toward developing a personal relationship with Christ. Pastor Steve believes that teenagers in today’s world and culture are at the heart of an intensifying spiritual tug of war, and that they are faced with tidal wave of pressures and ungodliness. Pastor Steve strongly believes his book, War with the World: the Teenage Battlefield, successfully connects the Bible with today’s teenage world in a way that is relevant and down to earth. Pastor Steve lives in Severna Park, MD with his beautiful wife, Cass whom he married in June 2008. Pastor Steve plans on working on a follow-up book project this summer.
