Colorado Springs, CO—Family Ministry Conversations represent David C Cook’s commitment to equip and empower churches and families with the training and resources that will spiritually transform a generation of children. “For over 130 years, David C Cook has never lost sight of our core mission to support the church with resources to raise up spiritually healthy children and families,” says Mike Kennedy, David C Cook’s senior director of marketing. “Through Family Ministry Conversations we hope to provide churches with the tools they need to support families in making their homes places of spiritual formation and growth. This is about empowering churches and Christian families to learn and grow together.”

“We have a powerful privilege today as ministry leaders. We may have thought that we entered ministry in order to spiritually guide children; however, we have found ourselves ministering to adults... parents, specifically. These parents often have very little Bible knowledge or have little idea what spiritual formation and growth looks like in their lives, let alone their children’s lives,” says Michelle Anthony, director of family ministries at ROCKHARBOR Church in Costa Mesa, CA, and a featured speaker and architect for the tour. “In a family ministry context, we not only maximize our efforts to reach children, but we also participate in the spiritual health of their parents as well. The church has been awakened to this need and I am excited to be a part of the Family Ministry Conversations because they will help church leaders to come alongside families and to encourage a spiritually healthy generation.”

The Family Ministry Conversations kicked off in Denver on October 13 and continues through the new year with stops in Atlanta, GA, Montgomery, AL, Raleigh, NC, Boca Raton, FL, Costa Mesa, CA, Toronto, CA, St. Louis, MO, Kansas City, KS, Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH, Dallas, TX, Twin Cities, MN, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Phoenix, AZ, and Milwaukee, WI.
