$2.5 Billion: The Cost of the 2012 U.S. Elections (INFOGRAPHIC)
The Center for Responsive Politics tracks the amount of money spent on political races in the United States and has reported that $2.5 billion will be spent on this year's elections. Tonight the Center is reporting that pro abortion group NARAL Pro-Choice America $95,280 in opposing Mitt Romney's run for president.
The following infographic by Credit Season compares this year's election to previous races. This year's election will cost $300 million more than the 2008 election. I was surprised to learn that defense contractors have contributed more to Obama's campaign than Romney.
