The Bible does not say much about Jesus interacting with very young children. However, in Matthew 19 we learn that the disciples discouraged parents from bringing their children to Jesus. Jesus responded by saying, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
In Mark 10 we read, "Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them."
Because Jesus came to earth as a baby, he encountered the same life moments that other babies experience: a first step and learning to talk.
In first years of a child's life, we will notice physical growth before we see spiritual growth. This infographic by Family Cord provides a time frame for when some of the significant events of child should occur. For example, between 7 and 9 months the child will start saying "mama."
