Brief Thoughts on Recent U.S. Elections

When the voices of the pundits, the talking heads, and the analysts cease…there will be one voice that will never cease.  It is the voice of the Creator/Redeemer.  He is the one who sets kings in their place and takes them down.

73,000 households, which amounts to more than 100,000 individuals, committed to pray for America from July to November. God is on the throne and no political party or political ideology can ever dislodge Him from His throne. He is the one on whom our eyes have been fixed…and will always be fixed…both in hope and thanksgiving.

Our fallen human nature will be tempted to give credit or assign blame to people, but how comforting it is to know that our God reigns.

One of the most grave sins for a believer to commit now is to cease praying…thinking that now we can rest from prayer until the next election cycle…God forbid!

Our deepest and most desperate need is for a spiritual awakening…not success of a certain political ideology that may suit our preference.

The task of praying has just begun
