Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom, is the king of Kings and He must have royal expectations. It should not surprise the Church, the Bride, that there is much to learn and unlearn. Marriage into royalty can be daunting and only the courageous will step into royal spotlight that requires new standards of behaviour. The question we answer in this episode reponds to the question …”What does the Bridegroom want?”
It is important that we understand that which is expected before we consider a marriage. It is even more important for a royal marriage to know and learn the ways of royalty. There is so much to learn for the Bride of Christ.

The Church, the Bride of Christ, was chosen from before the foundations of the earth and from the time of her engagement after Calvary she was lavishly gifted to help all her preparations. The gifts given to a Bride come from the home of the Bridegroom and never from earth, where the Bride resides. Christ sends the Holy Spirit and many gifts from Heaven. The gifts also give assurance to the Bride that there will be a marriage in future and are a foretaste of a greater glory ahead.
James 1 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
The gifts from Heaven are spiritual. They are good and perfect and were freely given nor will they be taken. In Christianity, spiritual gifts (or charismata) are endowments given by the Holy Spirit, supernatural abilities which individual Christians need - to fulfil the destiny of a redeemed people who serve God. The gifts could be both "natural" and more "miraculous" abilities, but all spiritual gifts are from Heaven and empowered by the Holy Spirit. There are also spiritual gifts that help the sanctification of the bride who must be kept apart from the world for the Bridegroom. The Bride can not make it without the help of the Holy Spirit. Too much is against her. FULL POST

Many have asked what is Worship? Who is a Worshipper? Worship is important not just because God is seeking Worshippers (and He is), but also because in Eternity, our Worship in Spirit continues while virtually everything else ceases. Worship is not just singing and making music, indeed our Worship (if true) must extend to the home, the Market Place even in our Politics. God responds with extraordinary action, when we worship Him in Spirit. So what is Worship in Spirit?
Worship is an act of obedience, deep respect, devotion, adoration, bowing oneself down in full prostration before God thus seting God apart as above all in one’s life.
Indeed music elevates the soul and Martin Luther once wrote that God created man to extol Him in song …singing the psalms and hymns have always been part of what we can call worship, but we cannot limit worship to that which happens when we sing or are inspired by music. The hymns are a powerful teaching tool, and much gladness and healing for the soul of saints have come through music, and this is excellent …but true worship is directed to God and has less to do with human feelings. Worship is more than singing. Nothing wrong in being a professional musician … but this is not to be confused with Worship. FULL POST

Over the years, we have seen much written about the second coming of Christ, with many predictions passing unfulfilled. Indeed, scripture has said we can not know the exact day of His coming, but that has not stopped many seeking to set dates. The Bible however teaches us that we are not in darkness that the day should catch us as a thief in the night. These articles seeks to throw light into the obscurity that this theme has been overcast with, and to establish some clarity out of much confusion.
With all my heart I sense that a most important theme for mankind, particularly with recent signs and developments, is the return of Jesus Christ. I believe I am being led to summarise the contents of a book on this theme, which I published in 2011, in a seven-part video series (30 minutes each) called “THE WEDDING” . The first episode is an introductory teaching while future episodes will look at topics like what it means to be chosen, the gifts of the Bride, the Victories of the bride, the Money of the Bride, Signs of His Coming and the Bride's Heavenly Home. Inauguration Day Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 is the day Donald Trump assumes the role of Chief Executive of the United States – becoming the nation's 45th president sworn in on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Since the elections in November 2016, more than a few developments qualifying his victory have emerged … i.e. call for recounts, Russian hacks/plots, FBI Chief Comey investigation, salacious blackmail dossiers. But all this has not stopped Trump marshalling a team through a confirmation process aimed at ensuring from day one he is ready for action. There is less doubt, as the initial stages of repealing Obamacare are executed, that Trump means to do exactly as he has said. Respected congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis echoes the views of millions when he says he doesn't see US President-elect Donald Trump "as a legitimate president," because of Russia's meddling … and the saga continues.
But this blog post is not just about the United States, but highlights an even more “deplorable” and less grand political transition and inauguration, as the aged King of Israel – David, approaches his passing away. God had told David that Solomon would succeed him (1 Chronicles 22:9). FULL POST

The market for healthy seed (sperm/ovary eggs) free of hereditary illness becomes more viable as the "UK approves in vitro fertilization using two women and a man ... claiming "three parent" babies are intended to prevent certain fatal genetic diseases.” CNN reports.
Leviticus 18:21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. 22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
God ordained marriage, the home and cohabitation between man (male) and woman (female) as the environment for children to not just be born, but to be taught and developed as assets within a society. In biblical times, children – often babies were deliberately cultivated – and “sold” to heathen temples for child sacrifices, creating a market … in the worship of false gods.
In contemporary times, evil sacrifice of children is “correctly” masked by the legalisation and prevalence of abortions. The commercialisation of the seed of mankind has created new ethical questions even as new social disguises hide the targeted ultimate outcome – prevalence of children that are not protected within the traditional family structure – one father and one mother, each playing their role. Consider the surly outcome of a potential conflict between two women who are biological mothers of a single child. FULL POST

Are we right to judge, when icons like Fidel Castro eventually leave the stage? Do we simply leave it to posterity to arrive at conclusions on the legacy of this icon? There are many who see an enemy to modern freedoms but millions of others, observing from a different world-view, perceive a friend.
Many Africans, in the East/Southern African countries, put Castro at par with a Winston Churchill – and perhaps rightly so, when you consider the blood sacrifices to end apartheid, colonialism and imperialism especially at a time when it was considered de riguer to embrace these evils.
It may sound trite to repeat that all men have feet of clay or to make conjectures on whether the world would have been a better place if one of early attempts at Castro’s life had been successful … but more importantly, how should Christians react to a “Robin Hood” persona … supermen and women who take no prisoners, and have mastered the art of robbing Peter to pay Paul … and who will often stretch the norms of decency, occasionally brutally eliminating opposition to impose that which they may sincerely believe to be good. Loyalty is great, but God commands us to pray for our leaders. FULL POST

I feel the discomfort of the family of the United States Vice President-elect following a theatre act, at which Mike Pence was lectured on inclusion, diversity and the fears of some segments of American society. President-elect Donald Trump predictably demanded an apology from the cast of the Broadway musical "Hamilton" a day after an actor delivered a well targeted missive on values and which also reminded the world of the fractious aftermath of the recent 2016 election. We are thankful for Pence in that all he received from the aggrieved protagonist was a lecture at the theatre, Abraham Lincoln was not so fortunate.
Culture has been defined as the “the ideas, customs, and social behavior of a particular people or society.” I heard a respected thinker recently describe culture as the collection of memories, past experiences, and teachings of yesterday that create the norms of today's behaviour. It suggests culture is neither right nor wrong, only that perspectives differ and efforts to unify culture or impose a culture and its values are intrinsically futile. Race is linked to culture to the extent that similar races share the same memories, experiences and learnings of the past but this is again not always so. When you observe multiculturalism, you are immediately struck by how extremely different the reactions and perspectives of people can be …depending on their memories and indoctrinations. Many are irritated with outcomes oblivious of the fact that the lens through which they see things can distort reality … a reality that evokes a completely different reaction from those seeing differently. Today, many think God can be defeated, disputed with, embarrassed, cheated or even ridiculed …forgetting that the worlds and powers can be likened to plastic toys in His hands. I watch how people struggle and hustle for power and the intense tensions to win … and the wicked ambitions to acquire illegitimate gains … the vanity of it all. But what stuns me the most is why we think God is surprised, taken aback or slightly disturbed – when it all rests in His hands and while He cannot be changed by anything. Anything invariably happens because He permits it or decides to simply watch it. No one can breathe for a second without Him. Our sanity is in His hands. When He decides an intervention, He cannot be stopped … whatever He has concluded must be so and exactly at the time ordained by Him. God's transcendence means that He is outside space and time, and therefore eternal and unable to be changed by forces within the universe. FULL POST

The United States of America will be voting for its next President in a few weeks. My prayer is that there will be peace. There are times when we are led to believe that this world has much to offer us, outside what the Bible says. But it amounts only to a waste of zeal and energy in a field of deception. Waste not your energy wooing and expecting love from the world; soon it will manifest its true color which is an unrepentant hatred for all that God stands for. Its true agenda is to put as many on the path of destruction as it can.
Samuel Rutherford wrote “The world never looked like a friend upon you. Ye owe it little love. It looked ever sour like upon you. Howbeit you should woo it, it will not match with you; and therefore never seek warm fire under cold ice. This is not a field where your happiness growth: it is up above.”
Just think of it. What will be found if demons, hackers, Russia, China and Wikileaks could hack into your current and deleted e-mail and also expose all your midnight internet browsing, electronic banking transactions and "chats" for which you have deleted all trails? Will they not find the real YOU ... the real person behind an elegant mask. The mask is the screen that the world offers so all can look as they need to look to win in a fallen civilisation. Is it not strange that evil initially preaches tolerance, when its real ultimate objective is destruction of good? Has it not become a new normal for wickedness to put on the costume of charity?
