The organizers of See You at the Pole are expanding their vision for student-led prayer by hosting the Global Week of Student Prayer next week (Sunday, September 22 - Saturday, September 28, 2013). The official See You at the Pole event will still take place on Wednesday morning at 7 am.

Starting Sunday the Prayer Concerns blog will be posting lists of prayer requests for students and student ministries.

This year's theme for See You at The Pole is #IFTHEN and is inspired by the Bible verse 2 Chronicles 7:14.

National Network of Youth Ministries describes the new strategy like this:

  • "A week dedicated to prayer and launching your on-campus Bible clubs, prayer strategies, and student ministries."
  • "A day committed to global unity in Christ."

NNYM also offers some advice for youth pastors and youth Bible study teachers:

We believe you’ll do the youth in your city a big favor if you challenge them to ask God, and do what He says. Do you dare to challenge them, and release them to follow His Spirit’s leading?

Even more, what might happen if we learn with them how to be better listeners to God's voice?
