Speaking The Truth in Love...Taking Christianity Into the World

Speaking The Truth in Love...Taking Christianity Into the World

My wife is perhaps the most beautiful woman in the whole world. Though she is beautiful on the outside, that is not what I love most about her. I love who she loves more than anyone else in the world, she loves my Savior, she loves God, Abba Father, Emmanuel (God in Us), she loves Jesus Christ. I would die for this woman any day, anytime, anywhere. Though she does not "complete me" as suggested in the movie Jerry McGuire, she does move me to higher heights and to better places than I would have ever been led to myself.

This will be the third year we will be going to serve the Navajo People in Pueblo Pintado, NM as we take Christianity Into the World. All of us, including our churches, have been impacted by the economy and missions is no exception. In fact, this past year our Missions Budget the church was able to fund was decreased from $15,000 in 2008 to $1,000 in 2009; a 93% decrease. Though that would "set back" many we have moved forward undeterred, just as God has led us. We worship an all knowing and powerful God who ways will not be thwarted (Job 42:2). Already we have been donated 60 English Bibles, 100 Bibles written in Navajo, and 600 snacks we can serve at Vacation Bible School. I worship a God who will not be undeterred.

Recently our church asked us if we would like to lead the group ourselves without the church involvement leading me seeking more questions and answers. It is OK, it is alright to anyone to speak the truth as long as they do so in love. Ephesians 4:15 "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ". God knows there will be tough conversations in life as life is full of them. It is OK to ask anyone including your children, spouse, boss, co-workers, employees, friends, associates etc. as long as you do it seeking peace, not your own way but God's will for your life and the circumstance. Do not be afraid, do not be squeamish as many of the hardest conversations will lead to the most job. Go in peace, speak humbly, seek God's will and do not be afraid.
