Your Actions Speak so Loud I Can't Hear What You Say...Atlanta CPA on Taking Christianity Into the World
The world teaches us that in all situations that there are shades of "gray" and that life is what we make of it, how we see it, how we feel and should be evaluated from our own life perspective at every turn. The world would suggest that we are all capable of determining our own way without regard for the truth or for others. As such, it is difficult for Believers to acknowledge the truth and nothing but the truth as when Jesus said:
Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. Matthew 5:37
In life I have learned that it is much more important what a person does, rather than what a person says. As Believers we are required to live by a higher standard letting our words be both truthful and simple. When Jesus spoke truth into others lives, he did not "wax eloquently" or add prose and a myriad of rules and regulations but rather in straightforward ways that all of us can understand. Accordingly our word should be our bond and we should not add or subtract from it with extraneous or superfluous exaggerations or explanations. Living in the truth requires our directness, our sincerity, our heart and our minds pointed all towards both simplicity and the love of God.
