Is This the Year for Your Spiritual Break-Through

Is This the Year for Your Spiritual Break-Through

Christian Decision Making: Is God the Center of Your Life?

Life on this world is hard. Going it alone is harder. Surrounding ourselves with other Christians who can help us along the way is the first step towards spiritual growth. Just as we grew in school we most always learn incrementally in a series of thousands of baby steps. Though there maybe times of great spiritual breakthrough much of what we do to grow will be as a result of our diligent pursuit of Him.

When we take our eye off the prize of Christ we become like Peter who upon walking on the water began to doubt, because of his fear, and thus he began to sink.

In Romans 12:2 the Apostle Paul encourages, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

When we focus on the world we lose Godly perspective. Our balance and faith is best maintained when we seek to fill our thoughts and focus on our creator for we are most apt to seek His face and know His will when we know what He says and what He thinks.

In Jeremiah 29:13 it says, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Life's challenges are tests, and it is be these tests that we are refined to be most like Him as it is these obstacles that we need to direct our energies and thoughts to His.

To overcome we need first to know where we are going and to have a clear objective of what we are to do in life. I urge you today to pray and seek what your objective in life is for when you know where you are going:

It is easier to get there.

It is easier to prepare.

It is easier to be more relaxed along the way.

It is easier to know when you have arrived.

Establishing our priorities and perspectives to be those of Christ allow us most to be in His will and to fulfill His destiny for our life. Consulting other believers before making important decisions, seeking God's word by prayer and study and being patient are all characteristics of a balanced Christian.

Re-read Romans 12:2. Seek to be in God's good, pleasing and perfect will in all that you do.

Do you have a Life Objective?

Do you actively work towards you Life's Goal?

Do you have the peace of Christ?

Do you know what it will look like when you get there?

Is 2011 the Year for You to Break-Through?
