Atlanta CPA Asks...Who Do You Love?...Taking Christianity Into the World

Pastor 7's Heart (Serving the Homeless of Atlanta)

Who Do You Love?

What's up!? Here is the word for the week. Matthew 6:5-15. Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.-Matthew 6:8. In my early years as a pastor, I served in small churches where finances were often tight. Sometimes our family finances felt the weight of that pressure. On one occasion, we were down to the last of our food and payday was still several days away. While my wife and I fretted about how we would feed our kids in the next few days, our doorbell rang. When we opened the door, we discovered two bags of groceries. We had not told anyone of our plight, yet our provider God had led someone to meet that need.

This reminds me of the Old Testament account of Abraham when he was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac. At just the right moment, God provided a ram instead. Abraham called this place Jehovah-Jirah, "The-Lord-Will-Provide" (Gen. 22:14). He is the One who still cares deeply for His children.

Jesus said, "Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him' (Matt. 6:8). He is constantly caring for and seeking the best for us-a reminder that in times of hardship, need, and fear, we have Someone who cares. Peter wrote that we can cast all our cares upon Jesus, because he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). We can turn to Him in our time of need.

I know not by what methods rare The Lord provides for me; I only know that all my needs He meets so graciously.

For everyone's awareness be sure to share with everyone about Feb. 14th The Love Concert that we are having at The Garden. It will start at 7:00 p.m. and should have everyone out of there by 9:00 p.m. It will be a night of Love, worship, and Pastor Edward will be bringing the exhortation "How To Use Love as a Weapon". We normally do this to raise money but this time it's not about money, we want to show our love and appreciation for what everyone has done for 7 Bridges in 2009. To know we can except great and more awesome things to come in 2010. Sugarloaf make sure you are there, everyone at Mt. Bethel, and the First United Methodist of Smyrna, Keisha Cook and family, Tim, Shaky, Rich, all my Gainesville boys, Sandy and everyone else, that prepares lunches for the bridges. I don't want to leave out Flood. Come expecting miracles and an impact of love that we want and desire to share with each of you. To even the ones I didn't mention you know I love you too. Hope to see ya'll there. I thank all of you for your prayers, support, and love. Your brother in Christ, 7.

GO JESUS GO JESUS GO! LOVE, 7

Pastor 7 with 7 Bridges to Recovery is doing great things to Feed the Homeless of Atlanta while spreading the word of God. I suggest you go down and see what he is doing on the weekends to take the message to the streets of Atlanta. I believe he would be a great speaker to the whole congregation and Discipleship Groups as people are looking for opportunities to get real with their faith by being the very Hands and Feet of Jesus Christ. You can read about his Ministry at http://www.7bridgestorecovery.org/home_page.html  We are actively involved in going and supporting Pastor 7 and the great work he is doing to Serve the Lost, the Last & the Least.
