Bearing Fruit - Taking Christianity Into the World
Matthew 7:15-20 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
It is time to get out of our church pews, our youth groups and the comforts of our surrounding. It is time to "Take Christianity Into the World."
Christianity is not about church membership but about God, who came in the form of a man, Jesus Christ and chose to die for our sins. For our sin, making a way for us to talk to our Holy Father "Abba" in Heaven. And it is out of this love that we are to give our lives and resources to God giving him all the glory and purpose for our living.
Rise Up! Seek God in all that you do. Whether you are a student or have a job, we are all Lay Ministers ordained to do great things in God's Name!
If you truly believe, Fruit will fall from your lives like manna from heaven. If you are saved you will bear fruit, for someone who is in God cannot hide his Light. If you are going through a phase of your life where your spiritual walk has been stunted take steps to refresh your faith. There are many ways to do this either in groups or alone, by seeking wise counsel, support groups, missions, counseling, clergy support, Bible reading, Daily Devotions, and much more. Often as Believers times to recharge our batteries but our Faith Walk, if sincere, will be full of Spiritual Fruit.
