Knowing The Time Value of Money
Christian Money Management
Over the last three decades I have consistently done one simple thing when I eat out.
Order a glass of water rather than a Coke or Sweet Tea (we are in the south after all).
I figure over time at eating out an average of 2.5 times a week, saving a $1.75 per beverage that I saved $228 a year for the last 30 years.
This would have saved me over that 30 year period $ 6825.00.
If I had put that annual savings of $228 per year in the stock market and if it had earned an average rate of 10% per year I now would have $ 35,705.00
If I can save that same amount for an additional ten years then I will have $ 100,911.00
Start thinking about the little things you are doing that are dragging you down and concentrate on the bigger prize of financial independence.
