Christmas Shoe Boxes for Navajo Children

This year more than others we will be seeking corporate sponsors and for those who can take this to their schools, neighbors, workplaces, Chambers of Commerce, Rotary, Kiwanis and friends as we seek to be a light to those who almost ALL others have forgotten.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ...by all other standards we live in Disney World....a land flowing with milk and honey...

Before you know it, we will be filling our bellies with Thanksgiving goodies and getting ready for the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. But for some, Christmas isn't much of a holiday - just a time to be out of school and away from the normalcy and the stability that they have at school.

For the past 6 years, we have been sending out 300+ shoeboxes stuffed with wonderful goodies for the beautiful Navajo children. Last year, we had to do this completely on our own with volunteers and the help of Pam Lewis' company. We will be doing it again this year but we need your help. Please consider doing a shoebox filled with toys/games, etc. this Christmas for one or more of the Navajo children in the school dorms. We have to do over 300 and we need you. Please ask your companies, boy scouts/girl scouts, Bible study groups, tennis groups, churches, anyone you know to sponsor some children. Pam's company not only provided over 50 shoeboxes last year, they also paid all the freight which is huge!!! We can provide notes and pictures from last year if it helps get the point across to sponsors.

Most of these children will not receive anything but these shoeboxes and it is so amazing to see the joy on their faces when they get them.

The shoeboxes can contain...socks, gloves, hair accessories, small games, small Bibles, toy cars, yoyos, candy, school supplies, hygiene items and anything that is small PLUS a personal note from you and small stationary and self addressed stamped envelopes are also a good idea. Please include $3.00 (or more) with your shoebox to help with shipping. We will start collecting them November 15th and you can drop them off at the church or at our house.

Thank you for considering helping these wonderful children and please know that anything we can give is appreciated. If you have any questions, please contact me.

God bless you!

I invite you to join us in offering the love of Jesus this Christmas season to our Navajo Brothers and Sisters in Christ!!!!!
