Epic Rap Battles of Bible History: Moses versus King David
Epic Rap Battles of Bible History
Moses versus King David
Moses
I am Moses.
A great leader.
That is what they say.
I led the Jewish race out of Egypt, into history.
I met my God my Savior at a burning bush.
While you were hanging out, in the desert brush.
I called down plagues from heaven.
To set my people free.
My staff I turned into a snake.
For all the world to see.
I was made a hero while you tended sheep.
Watching them at night, when all they did was sleep.
David
I am David, King of Israel.
Called to lead by God, anointed by Samuel.
Called to lead a nation while I was just a boy.
In my youth a lion and a bear did I kill.
I tied to live my life according to His will.
Floating down a river as a child you hid from fate.
Hiding in a basket like a little bitty saint.
When you first found trouble in Egypt, all you did was run.
Returning to find a Pharaoh determined to see you done.
When the going got tough you used your feet to flee.
To hide in the desert for forty years to be.
Moses
You lived in caves, hiding from King Saul.
When you had the chance to be king, you failed to seized the day.
Taking but a remnant of his robe I say.
Making you a coward and a goat.
Failing to take the throne, the palace and the moat.
When you were running further and further away.
Seeking to save your own life and others, that's your way.
While you led marauders who became your little band.
I led the Jewish nation out into the desert to be free.
With my staff I parted the depths of the Red Sea.
Leading my people to the Promised Land.
A land of milk and honey, after forty years of sand.
To my people I remained true and true.
Unable to keep you ego and your pride in tow.
Bathsheba and her husband did you overthrow.
David
A boy made king, that's my legacy.
While yours is sort of hazy, just like leprosy.
You could have done it right with an army.
But you chose to battle with frogs and such and found insanity.
Though set free you wandered to and fro.
Lost in the desert with no GPS to guide your goal.
Though manna fell from heaven to keep your people fed.
Many of them would not make it and eventually be dead.
I killed a giant named Goliath, a mountain of a man.
While you fought your battles, lost in the sand.
Who Won
Who's Next
You Decide
