As Christians, we so easily throw around the verse, "He must increase and I must decrease" but do we truly mean it? How often do we pay lip-service to God and not follow it with our actions?

John the Baptist knew who Jesus was and he also knew where his identity belonged. What are you holding onto right now that should be given up to God? Is it approval from your colleagues or the desire to be married or wanting a better job? Remember, things of this world are temporary and we will not be able to take them to Heaven, nor will we care about them in Heaven.

Snellville/Roswell/Alpharetta CPA...Are You a Bulldog for Christ? 

To say that "Jeremiah was a bullfrog" is a misnomer in that a bullfrog is just too "Wimpy" when it comes to the character of Jeremiah. A better name tag would be JEREMIAH WAS A BULLDOG. Despite all the terrible things that God was telling him the He was going to do to His chosen people, Jeremiah would not, like a bulldog bite, relent on trying to get his brothers and sisters to turn their ways and truly repent of their sins of idolatry, immorality, and self-centeredness. Even after God told him not to pray for the people, he did anyway.

Are You Truly Desperate for Jesus or Are You Serving the World?

We pray this finds you blessed and highly favored once again and that your focus is on Jesus today and not being distracted from the things of this world. We must be careful because sometimes we may even be distracted by "godly, good" things and not have our eyes on Christ. Have you ever spent the day doing work for Him, serving Him in everything and then realize that you have not even talked to Him or spent time with Him the whole day? Paul was clear to always bring his thoughts back to Jesus. Paul new that Jesus was his prize, not anything of this world. Our prayer for you this week is that you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, knowing that everything else will fall into place(Matthew 6:33). May you plow straight ahead, being focused on the Only One who matters!

There are many time tested issues to help both business owners and individuals set up procedures to help limit unnecessary spending and to mitigate exposure to the financial impacts of the economy including:

Develop Spending Limits. Just as when you pull the trigger it is most impossible to stop, slow down or even change the direction of a speeding bullet, it is equally difficult to change the effects of a financial commitment once they are made. Accordingly it is wise to carefully consider and evaluate purchases, especially those over your defined spending limit, before a financial decision is reached. If you are married or have a business partner, it would be prudent to agree on a specified limit that is allowable to spend without the others consent, however, anything over that limit should be discussed before any expenditures are made. This limit should be as low as possible to both ensure agreement and to avoid any unnecessary expenditures.
