News Flash: New Effort to Repeal 22nd Amendment

Democrat Representative, Jose Serrano from New York introduced legislation seeking to remove the limitation in the number of terms an individual may serve as President (H. J. Resolution 15). It was after Franklin D. Roosevelt’s four terms in office (he died during his 4th term) that Congress passed the 22nd Amendment. A quick review of history will reveal why there was widespread support for term limits. We need to respect and maintain the 22nd Amendment and perhaps consider term limits that will prevent career politicians.
