The Burning bush

"And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said: 'I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.'" Exodus 3:2-3

The Hebrew word used in the burning bush context for bush is Seneh. The word Seneh appears 2 times in the Old Testament: in The Book of Exodus 3 and in The Book of Deuteronomy 33.

In the the Midrash the burning bush was a rose bush. The significance of this reference is that while the Jewish people may be as difficult as thorns, there nevertheless are "roses" among them, and for the roses alone it is worth God's while to save the nation from tyranny.
According to our Sages, the burning bush is also identified as the desert plant blackberries named: Rubus Sanctus.

These plants endemic to Sinai and extremely long-lived. It has flowers that resemble small roses and fruit like the raspberry.
According to Easton's Bible Dictionary, the burning bush may be the Acacia planet. .Also, when God gave Moses the instructions for building the Tabernacle, he told him to make an ark of acacia wood.
The Seneh has also been identified as the Cassia Senna .The Cassia Senna is an Arabian name and the herb was first brought into use by Arabian physicians.
As for me, it is not important what kind of plant was the burning bush - it is what the fire in it was- but this is for another time, have a nice month , eli
