There are many ways to conserve energy around the home. Insulating windows and doors, checking ducts for leaks, updating appliances, and using a programmable thermostat are all everyday ways to save money while still being able to keep warm in the winter.

Another option is to upgrade that old furnace to something newer and more energy efficient. Furnaces installed in the 90's general have an efficiency rating between 60 and 80 percent. Today's furnaces have efficiency levels from 80 percent all the way up to 97 percent.
