Gyeongju Son, 18, of Sarang Community Church, the 2nd largest church in South Korea, shared about her tragic family history. Her family fled North Korea when she was six, her mother died of leukemia while pregnant with her younger sibling in China, and her father, whom she has not heard from since 2006, likely was executed for sharing the Gospel in North Korea. Son said she is studying hard to get into college where she wants to study political science and diplomacy so she can fight for the rights of North Korean. Monday's evening program focused on the suffering church and religious freedom in Asia.
