Keep Your Faith Up (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 17)

text size A A A

Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

The word “faith” means so many different things to so many people. It is a sacred word and a secular word. We’re told to have faith that everything will work out. Or to trust the process of life. Or to believe that some trying circumstance is for our good.

But what is faith really? How do we know when we have it and when we don’t?

Faith is being certain of the truth and then acting upon the certainty that what you are believing will come to pass. Knowing the truth is only one step towards faith. We must also act on the truth. Live as thou what you know to be true will come to pass in your life.

Faith can be applied to every part of life. Sometimes, when you seemingly have nothing else, you realize you have everything you need. If you have faith that God's plan for your life will come to pass, then it will. The power of your belief makes it so.

Faith brings you ninety percent closer towards accomplishing any goal and realizing any dream. Keep your faith up and great things will happen for you, to you, and with you.

“I do not recall another period when 'faith' was as popular as it is today. If only we believe hard enough we'll make it somehow. So goes the popular chant. What you believe is not important. Only believe... What is overlooked in all this is that faith is good only when it engages truth; when it is made to rest upon falsehood it can and often does lead to eternal tragedy. For it is not enough that we believe; we must believe the right thing about the right One.”
