Love Now (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 25)

Galatians 5:14 (NLT)
For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Learning to love isn’t easy, but it is necessary to learn the lesson of love. Love is the language that all of humanity speaks. We may not be able to understand each other’s language or culture, but there are few people who do not understand love.

Love should be our first priority in this life. Life is meaningless without love. It’s not enough to say we love someone; we must show love in our actions. The greatest thing we can do is love. Indeed, this is the greatest thing that God did for us. He didn’t just say He loved us; He showed He loved us with His actions.

The love of God drove Him to give. Giving is the foundation of love. God gave us — all of us — His Son, Jesus Christ to suffer, bleed, and die for our sins. He loved us so much that He took our mistakes and failures upon His shoulders in order to give us salvation and life eternal. There is no better time to love than right now.

Our greatest responsibility is to love. Our biggest goal in life should be to love. Love is not just part of our lives or something we mark off on our to-do list. Love is our life. We are not living if we do not love. We must love God, we must love others. Every commandment God gave is based on love. Love is not a means to an end, it is the end in itself — the ultimate goal, the final conclusion.

“The best use of life is love. The best expression of love is time. The best time to love is now.”
— Rick Warren
