While the state of Florida will always be a highly desirable destination for vacationers and retirees in search of endless summers, there is a lot more going on in the fabled Sunshine State. Florida has grown into a location that has become an appealing place to live for people of all ages with its growing economy and great real estate prices. The rising popularity of the state to all demographics is a matter of record. With more than 20 million residents, according to the World Population Review, Florida it is the third most populous state in the United States, trailing only California and Texas.

The state’s population is getting younger instead of older as more than one-half of the new resident of Florida are between the ages of 25 and 64. Only 10% of the growth in is attributable to people 65 and older. Additionally, an analysis by the Associated Press of the U.S. Census’ American Community Survey indicated that more than 40% of newcomers, in 2013, were under the age of 25.
