Celebrate the feast

Scripture: Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 1 Corinthians 5:8

Prayer: I am not much of a baker; help me to follow exactly the recipe of this verse.

Response: Just the essential elements of the recipe are given; you must provide elements into which sincerity and truth are mixed. Can you see how sincerity and truth are the basis for compassion, love, forgiveness, generosity, and so much besides?

Sincerity and truth also reflect harmony and grace in what you do, how you act and listen and are responsive to what you hear in prayer.

You have prepared a feast to celebrate when you share the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth with the hungry in your midst, even though at first glance they have the stature of those who have over-indulged; with those who are satiated in material possessions but are desperate for spirit; with those who are sightless, following mirages of delusion in an endless desert, and seek peace.
