The fringe of his cloak

Scripture: And wherever (Jesus) went to village or town or farm, they laid down the sick in the open spaces, begging him to let them touch even the fringe of his cloak. And all those who touched him were saved. Mark 6:56

Prayer: Help me Lord to lay in prayer before you those who seek your healing even if they are unaware.

Response: Well, so early in the morning, you have got that right. No need to stay locked in the past and mourn that you were not around two thousand years ago, carrying the sick and lame and positioning them along the anticipated path of the Lord. You see your intentions in prayer for folks with the suffering of the body, heart, and soul are in fact, yes in fact, places them within touch of the Lord who is passing this moment. You don't have to look at your watch, or at the rising or declining sun, wondering when He is due to arrive. He has risen; he is present!

Shouldn't that be a great relief? You don't have to plot out His anticipated journey for the day and the time He should pass your location. You don't have to be anxious as the hours pass that you might have missed Him and will be required to carry your burden wrapped in desperate needs to another location. Now, you can focus on the intention of your prayer, and even extend your reach further to identify additional neglected souls that need healing—to be close enough to touch the fringe of His garment. This is your open space.

Know that the Lord is passing close enough to touch each prayer intention for healing. Now, your only task is to assemble those intentions and—in your rush to be present—don't neglect to reach out to touch the fringe of His garment for your own healing
