Marc Newman

Dr. Marc T. Newman is president of MovieMinistry.com, a company dedicated to providing pastors, lay leaders, and ordinary Christians with the tools necessary to use movies as a way of reaching out to others with the Gospel of Christ.

Dr. Newman has appeared on The O'Reilly Factor and in The Passion: Film, Faith, and Fury for the U.K.’s Channel Four. he has been cited in The Sunday Glasgow Herald, the L.A. Daily News, the St. Petersburg Times and other international and regional publications. Time magazine compared MovieMinistry to a "kind of Holy Ghostwriter" for pastors. He has written for Preaching Magazine, The Journal of Religion and Film, and The New Interpreters Bible Handbook of Preaching. His weekly articles on Christianity, film, and culture have appeared on The Christian Post, Christianity Today.com, One News Now, Crosswalk, CatholicExchange, FoxNews.com, and TownHall.com and thousands of other websites. Dr. Newman also does regular radio shows throughout the United States.

A college and university professor for over twenty years, he is currently an associate professor teaching in the School of Communication and the Arts at Regent University. He speaks at churches and professional organizations all over the United States on the persuasive power of film.
