A Big God Sees You!

It is sooo hard to write this month's newsletter, cause I'm sitting here in bed watching America's Got Talent. And this man has just stepped up to the mic and is now making sounds with his hands, in particular "Yankee Doodle Dandy". I gave him an immediate X and Anita just called me saying, "It's pretty amazing.....that he can do that". LOL Not sure what to think now, when she tells me that I did an "amazing job" after some of my events. LOL But that's what friends are for. Some of our biggest cheerleaders when WE trip and drop our pompoms.

Speaking of trip, I'm sooo excited to be heading to Greece in just 7 days. I'll be spending a week on the Island of Rhodes and then 3 days in Athens. To think that I'll be able to walk in the footsteps of Apostle Paul. All I can say is, WOW! Speak to me Jesus and prepare my heart for something new on this trip. I'm open.

I think that's what the Lord is asking many of us today. Are you open? Are you ready? Never lose sight of the truth that God is always in control of all things at all times. There IS a God. God HAS a plan and that plan is always working and YOU are part of it. Above all, keep the eyes of your heart and spirit focused on God, and as hard as it may be to do so, don't stay focused on what your problem today might be. If you keep your eyes focused only on your problem or your circumstances, it will feel like it's growing bigger and bigger and eventually blur your vision of who God is in your life. If you keep your eyes focused on God, however, HE will grow bigger and bigger, and eventually will cover any fear you may have regarding your situation. It's not about, "How big is your challenge", but rather about "How big you see God!" He can, He does and He will.

May your summer be filled with a BIG God who sees YOU! :)
Speaking of Summer (smile), go pick up a copy of the August 2009 Issue of HomeLife Magazine (Lifeway publication). They were brave enough to put me on the cover (smiling) AND asked me to write the feature story, "The Richness of Tragedy". What an absolute honor for me to be asked to be a part of this amazing ministry. If you attend a Baptist Church anywhere around the world, you may find this magazine in your lobby August 1st ! :)

Also, Focus On The Family will be re-airing my testimony on their daily broadcast radio show around the world, on Friday July 24th, 2009. So tune in if you're near the radio and I'll make sure to give a shout out! :) That may take a miracle since it's a re-air. LOL

OK, I think that's it for this month, Gotta run! Ameican's Got Talent is on the other line calling me! It appears they've found out about my hidden talent....burping the alphabet! LOL I'm just kidding. Gross...I can only get to "C"! LOL
