The Hallelujah Diet System is the antidote to the guilt and sickness often caused by what we call the Standard American Diet or SAD.

With football season and ongoing get-togethers throughout the fall, the temptation of a juicy, sizzling burger might be all around you. But don’t fret—let Chef Richard’s Portobello Sandwich come to the rescue! Equally satiating, dripping with flavorful goodness and bursting with nutrients, this hearty BLT alternative will keep your stomach and taste buds happy—not to mention the rest of your body!
Q: How did you come about creating a plant-based version of a BLT?
I once had tofu bacon at restaurant and it got me thinking about making a vegan BLT. I’ve never been a fan of bacon myself but a lot of people love it, which is why I wanted to create a healthy yet delicious alternative.I thought it would be fun with Portobello, which makes it super easy to make. Hi, this is Ann. In recognition that Breast Cancer Awareness month begins this week and that most everywhere I turn, I am reading or hearing about the “Race for the Cure” activities that are going on around the country, I wanted to give you insight into what has been happening to my own health for the last several years and how undetected teeth issues could have led to breast cancer. While I’m on a great diet, that alone couldn’t improve my breast health, but without the Hallelujah diet, I may not have the quality of life that I do today.
Over 12 years ago, I had my first and only root canal. I had researched the endodontist and found her to be one of the best in the area and she was even a professor at the area dental college. After it was completed I thought nothing more of it. In 2010, I noticed a lump on my lower right jaw and had pain and a lump on my right breast. This by the way was the same side of the mouth where I had the root canal over eight years prior. FULL POST

October is Breast and Liver Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of those who have survived or lost their lives from cancer, and to all their loved ones, our team at the Hallelujah Diet dedicates our days to finding healthy, sustainable solutions in hopes that fewer and fewer families face this deadly disease. We strive to educate, inform and effect change so, together, we can all live our lives vibrantly and blissfully. To anybody touched by cancer, your thoughts are with us today—and every day.
According to the American Cancer Society, about 585,720 Americans are expected to die of cancer in 2014. By this year’s end, there will be an estimate 1,665,540 new cases of cancer.
In 1975, the incidence rate for all cancers combined in the U.S. was 400 new cases for every 100,000 people. By 2011, that number shot up to 460.4 per 100,000 people.
Cancer is the second-leading cause of death in the U.S. after heart disease, yet studies and researchers have pointed to the fact that a great amount of cancer cases can be prevented. A third of all cancer deaths in the U.S. are linked to diet and physical activity, including obesity, while another third is caused by smoking tobacco products. FULL POST

Recently, in response to a Health Tip titled “Vitamin B12 – Are You Deficient”, I received a letter from Emma asking: the following question:
“I am just wondering how God intended us to get our B12? If the Hallelujah Diet is the way God intended us to eat, why is it lacking this important nutrient, vitamin B12?”
Because there were a number of other people wanting to know the answer to the same question I am devoting this Health Tip to answering Emma’s question as well as “Why I No Longer Believe God’s Original Diet Contains All the Nutrients Needed For Man to be Properly Nourished.”
When I began Hallelujah Acres over 20 years ago and designed the Hallelujah Diet (which I patterned after God’s Original Genesis 1:29 Diet as found in the Bible), I believed that all man had to do was consume the nutrients God had placed in the fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts in the garden. I believed these nutrients were all that one needed to supply the body with the full spectrum of nutrients necessary to sustain life and experience health. FULL POST

According to the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) pain affects more Americans than diabetes, heart disease and cancer combined. Why are so many people in pain? We had planned to answer this question in today’s blog but as we began to do the research another story emerged.
Most people are aware that the two big “killers” in the US are heart disease and cancer. And, it is true, both of these diseases cause a lot of suffering for many. But, most people aren’t aware of what is likely the 3rd leading cause of death.
Would you believe it’s not strokes, auto accidents or even diabetes?
Looking at the most recent 2011 CDC report you see the numbers looking like this:
Wait! You don’t have the answer yet: as Paul Harvey used to say, ”Now the rest of the story…” FULL POST

About 6,000 women enter menopause every day. While a lucky few don’t experience significant changes, the vast majority suffer from debilitating symptoms such as hot flashes, insomnia, anxiety and overwhelming fatigue. The good news is: Not only do we have options to ease these troublesome conditions, we are no longer limited to pharmaceutical treatments that may pose risks to our health. We have effective solutions that work in harmony with our own bodies—all with natural resources from this very Earth.
First, let’s explore why menopause occurs:
A woman carries a predetermined quantity of eggs. The eggs are held in the ovaries, which produce estrogen and progesterone, the hormones responsible for controlling menstruation and ovulation. When the ovaries discontinue releasing eggs, menstruation ceases and menopause begins.

It has been almost 20 years since Dr. Michael Donaldson, a PhD graduate of Cornell University, joined our team here at Hallelujah Acres. His task was to constantly evaluate the sufficiency and accuracy of the Hallelujah Diet so that we could be assured that what we were teaching was the most accurate and up-to-date information possible.
In a recent Health Tip we took a look at vitamin B12, a nutrient researched by Dr. Donaldson that he found to be lacking in the Hallelujah Diet and in most diets today…whether the diet was meat-based or plant-based.
In this Health Tip, we are going to take a look at another very important vitamin that is lacking in God’s Original Diet a well as in the Hallelujah Diet – vitamin D3.

Rightfully so, people around the world are concerned watching the devastating effects the Ebola outbreak has had on those who have come in contact with it. If not properly contained, Ebola could without a doubt be the most destructive disease the world has faced in years. While the virus seems to be mostly contained to West African countries its destruction could quickly span around the globe.
We asked scientist Michael Donaldson, PhD., Research Director for the Hallelujah Diet to provide insights on the disease. As you will see in the article below written by Dr. Donaldson, a strong immune system is paramount for both the prevention and survival. While the protocol outlined by Dr. Donaldson is primarily focused on the Ebola virus the approach that he has outlined significantly enhances the immune system when facing other health challenges.
Since its discovery in 1976 the African hemorrhagic viral infection known as Ebola has struck terror into West Africans and anyone else in its path. With a mortality rate ranging from 50 to more than 90 percent, it is a virus you never want to meet. There is no available vaccine for this virus, no cure, and no medical treatment that has proven to be effective against Ebola virus, which can wipe out entire villages, and could frighten entire cities to a standstill. Isolation of victims and avoidance of contact is the only proven way to stop the Ebola virus. FULL POST

How do you help your kids get the most out of their time in school?
Kids need to know they are loved and secure. They also need to be in an environment where learning is encouraged both inside and outside of the classroom.
Some key points to consider for kids to be successful in school are:
1. Manage their TV time each day. Instead of the after school electronic babysitter, encourage them to pick up a book. If they must use technology, find the book on an IPAD so they can continue their reading but not feel technically deprived.
2. Feed them Brain Food! Daily consumption of Omega 3, DHA and
quality amino acids will help kids concentrate and keep focus. Kids especially need DHA (fish oil) for optimal brain development. A copy of our kid’s Brain Power Smoothie is below. Remember, kids can have several of these each day and it will serve them well in nourishing their brains. FULL POST

There have been numerous instances lately where cities, schools and other civic organizationsare being threatened unless they remove the 10 commandments monument, no longer say “Bless You” to someone who sneezes, and many other instances because there is a select group that seems to be the watchdog over anything “Christian” that appears to “offend them” or may offend someone else.
America was founded on God and has a long history of giving Him praise for the many blessings our country has received as it has continued to received His protective covering. The constitution purposely states there should be freedom to worship. This strong desire to keep God as the number one priority in this country led to addressing Him in our Pledge of Allegiance and even adding the phrase that is on our currency “In God We Trust.”
For hundreds of years, this country has been unashamed and unafraid to voice publicly it’s alliance with God. Churches have been erected without fear of retribution or violence. God has even been allowed in chambers of judges and politicians with the knowledge that they will need Him as they make life-changing decisions that affect the rest of the country and the world as they pledge “So Help Me God.” FULL POST
