Do you take your body for granted? Are you able to fully appreciate the wonderful gift that God has given to each of us? Stop for a minute and think about your incredible body.

In Genesis 1:31, immediately after creating man, we read: “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.”God created and entrusted to his human creationa perfect body!

Man was created with a body that was perfect in every aspect. After all, man was designed to enjoy life here on earth forever (Genesis 3:22-24).All he needed to do was pass one test – Don’t eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17).

Your body consists of nearly 100 trillion cells. Every second of every day these cells that are dying and being replaced. This happens throughout our entire lives. Will the new cell be stronger or weaker than the one it is replacing? This all depends. In Genesis 1:29 God outlined forAdam and Eve the perfect diet for the miraculous body He had just designed. What was that fuel? Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”The raw foods provided in nature. Whether our new cells are weak or strong depend on our diet.

For over 1600 years of recorded history there is no indication of any sickness or disease! There is also no indication that man varied from the diet we read about in Genesis 1:29. The body God created was capable of maintaining perfect health as long as man consumed the right foods.

In Deuteronomy 34:7-8 we find Moses died at the age of 120 years, apparently in excellent health. It was simply time for Moses to be promoted from temporal life here on earth to eternal live with God.

God did not design His human creation to die of sickness and disease. Rather, He provided man with a self-healing body. All we need to do is create a condition conducive to health. We do that by consuming the right foods.

Man fell from grace and lost eternal life when Adam and Eve ate the wrong foods. The greatest irony here is that man is suffering the sickness and diseases of this world because the wrong food is being consumed yet again. It seems like God is using man’s consumption of food to test our temperance.

This series will explore the obstacles to health. It will also address the solution, which like God’s plan for salvation is simple.

Our world is totally different than what Adam and Eve enjoyed at Creation. There is little similarity between the foods consumed in Bible days and what most Christians are eating on a day-to-day basis. The quality of our foods is inferior and our environment is overloaded with toxins. In this world where we live maintaining health can be a challenge!

For over 20 years the Hallelujah Diet has been used by people to overcome cancer, multiple sclerosis, diabetes and over 170 other different conditions. You can find these testimonies on The Hallelujah Diet website. Enter a particular condition and read the joy and enthusiasm that can be yours when you decide to take responsibility for your own health!

Look around your church. You will see that your brother and sisters in Christ are just as sick as non-Christians. Pastors, evangelists, missionaries and laymen have to stop sharing the Gospel because of sickness. Our pastors are preaching and teaching on spiritual health but physical health is being neglected.

Science is just beginning to catch up with the teachings of the Hallelujah Diet with new research that supports the overwhelming benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet in preventing and recovering from various diseases. Of course, it has been in the Bible the whole time. A balanced diet based on Genesis 1:29 provides the nutrients the body needs. God didn’t make a mistake. In contrast, the SAD (Standard American Diet) is nutritionally deficient and loaded with toxins. It is impossible for the body to sustain health and obviously it cannot heal, when this type of food is consumed.

From Adam on down throughout history, we see that our choices have consequences. We can make the choices that enable us to experience true health and live the life God desired for us. Or, we can conform to this world’s way of eating and experience the diseases that are surely the consequence. “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19
