US News and World Report on gays, the APA and changing churches

Today on the website of US News and World Report, Dan Gilgoff's God and Country blog carried a post of mine titled, Does the American Psychological Association Want Gays to Switch Churches? Some writers and commenters erroneously reported that the new APA report on therapy and sexual orientation pushed people away from conservative churches. Not so.

I provide some of the backstory elsewhere.  OneNewsNow and NARTH (National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality) said the APA wanted same-sex attracted clients to give up their religious views in order to resolve sexual identity conflicts.
