Experience the Impact: Fellowship One and Dynamic Church Conference 2010

Fellowship Technologies' Dynamic Church Conference (DC10), is a three-day event focused on educating and inspiring church staff and developers so they can impact their ministries through Fellowship One, the leading web-based church management software solution used by more than 1,300 ministries around the world. In its fourth year, the conference brings together the entire staff of Fellowship Technologies and hundreds of churches ranging in size from new plants to mega-sized congregations, with attendees from every level of technological and Fellowship One expertise. Caroline Ervin, Membership Director and F1 Champion (Expert) with Faith Promise Church in Knoxville, TN, states, "I've grown with F1, and the conference is the best thing anyone can do. The first year, I was able to put a face with a name. I was able to go back to Faith Promise and tell the staff that Fellowship Technologies wanted to help us as friends, as people...as part of our church."

The ultimate goal of the Dynamic Church Conference is to teach church partners how to effectively leverage Fellowship One, but according to Ervin, there was much more to gain.

Faith Promise is growing with nearly 3,000 people in attendance each week, and I was the F1 Champion for a staff of 40, but then I heard something at the conference that gave me the idea of building a team of experts or "champions." So the next conference, we all went. It was cool to watch the team get excited, just as I had at my first conference. They were getting their questions answered, learning, and putting a face to a name. They were getting one-on-one time with FT staff! Now, instead of helping 40 people, I help 6! We meet once a month to go over any problems or share new insights into our use of F1. And the team wants to go to the Dynamic Church Conference because they know they will learn, they know they will be helped, and that helps build their confidence."

The 2010 conference promises to be better than ever before for many reasons:

  • Low-Cost- The price has been reduced by more than half! Fellowship Technologies has partnered with Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, to host the conference, therefore, they were able to reduce the cost of admission dramatically. Savings on the venue has translated into savings for all attendees.
  • High-Impact- The reduction of price certainly does not mean a reduction in service and the quality of training. This year's conference is more education-focused than ever. With admission, DC10 attendees have the opportunity to sit in on more than sixty education sessions across six different education tracks.
  • Education-Focused- Besides the education sessions, DC10 includes 40 highly-focused breakout sessions featuring valuable Fellowship One processes, dynamic presenters, book tours and more. (this page may give better explanation of breakouts http://www.dynamicchurchconference.com/breakouts)
  • One-on-One Consulting - New to the conference is the Consulting Lab! Staffed with Fellowship One experts and computers, attendees can visit the Consulting Lab to get questions answered or practice what they've learned.

In addition to the regular conference training sessions, Fellowship Technologies has also offered the following:

  • Quick Start for Beginners - This pre-conference session is for the beginner looking to get the Fellowship One fundamentals out of the way. Attendees that are new to the system or looking to brush up on the fundamentals may attend the Quick Start and prepare themselves to learn the more detailed processes shown in the regular education and breakout sessions.
  • Developer Track - This is specifically for the applications developer and includes three days of keynote presentation, education sessions, and hands-on instruction specific to software development. Attendees that develop applications for their church or are interested in integrating their application with Fellowship One should definitely be there.
  • Make an IMPACT! - Fellowship Technologies is partnering with Water Missions International to raise awareness about the Living Water Treatment System used to provide clean, safe water to people in developing countries and disaster areas.

The education and experience to be gained at the conference is an extension of Fellowship Technologies' dedication to service and its church partners. Ervin was interviewed as a result of a courtesy phone call by Bill Wheaton, Advocate on the Customer Experience Team. Wheaton made the call to check and see how the church was doing with the Fellowship One software, but Ervin's enthusiasm over the conference in addition to the service was obvious. She stated, "The fact that Bill called us, just to check on us, makes us feel valued. Knowing that I've got that kind of support at Fellowship Technologies has taken the load off of me, and I need that more than ever now that we are moving toward being a multi-site church. It's not so overwhelming and I know I will walk away from the conference in May with a much better understanding of how we will proceed."

The conference is slated for May 12-14, 2010 at the Plano campus of Prestonwood Baptist Church. Registration and details are available online. You can also follow @DynamicChurch on Twitter, or become a fan on Facebook.
