Have you failed to make it a priority to daily pray for your wife? If so, you may want to join the Pray For Your Wife: 31 Day Challenge.

Mike Leake, associate pastor of First Baptist Church in Jasper, Indiana, has established a prayer group on Facebook with the purpose of encouraging men to pray for their wives daily for the month of August. According to Leake, "My hope is that we create a little community where we can pray for our wives, share our concerns, pray for one another as husbands, etc."

Leake is using the acronym FACE to describe the group's agenda.

  • Focus
  • Accountability
  • Challenge
  • Encouragement

When spouses pray for each other, God may work in unique ways as this quote indicates:

The strength of a man and wife joined together in God’s sight is far greater than the sum of the strengths of each of the two individuals. That’s because the Holy Spirit unites them and gives added power to their prayers. (Stormie Omartian, The Power of a Praying Wife)
