Some people are terrified because of the Mayan apocalypse prediction of the history of the world ending on December 21st.

The London Telegraph newspaper has reported,

• "Russia saw people in Omutninsk, in Kirov region, rushing to buy kerosene and supplies after a newspaper article, supposedly written by a Tibetan monk, confirmed the end of the world."
• "Some in China are taking the prospect of Armageddon seriously with panic buying of candles reported in Sichuan province."

We can begin to pray for the people that are scared.

1. Pray for anyone contemplating suicide to avoid taking his or her life.
2. Pray for scared people to encounter the love of God because the Bible teaches "perfect love casts out fear" - 1 John 4:18.
3. Pray for businessmen that are exploiting the situation to stop taking advantage of people.
