To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Eccl 3:1 During the month of January many of us made new year resolutions. For most Christians the month of January is also a month of consecration and renewal of spiritual vows. During this month of March, I hope that you are on target to achieving those goals, resolutions and vows. I pray that as you renewed your vows and made new ones to the Lord of our salvation that you consulted God about the things he desired for you.

As you read the bible, you will observe that God often gave very precise instructions to the men and women of God. Look at the precise instructions he gave to Noah in Genesis 6 concerning building the Ark. Exodus 28 is another example of specific instructions concerning the making of the robes for Aaron. God has a specific plan for our lives. He may not reveal the entire plan to us at once but he will guide us each step of the way if we allow him to do so.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge the Lord and he shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 Our God is a God of order. I encourage you this month to let it be a time of order and that you review your resolutions and identify the necessary steps to bring them into fulfillment.

Commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established Pro 16:5. Renewing our vows to God should not be taken lightly. We must be careful of the vows we make. It is better to not make a vow then to make one and not keep it. Seek God he will give us instructions and guide us with his eyes to help us fulfill the vows. I WILL INSTRUCT THEE and teach thee in the way, which thou shall go: I will guide thee with mine eye Psalms 32:9.

Our God is a God of order. When we allow him to direct us and to place his desires into our heart, he will establish our thoughts. He will show us how to achieve that which we desire to achieve. A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps Prov 16:9.

As you reflect on your vows/resolutions for this season in your life, I encourage you to continually seek the face of God to receive directions in fulfilling those vows. I encourage you as you lay out your petitions before the father that you continually seek God to ensure that your requests line up with his word regarding that situation.

1 Sam 3:10 And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. Let this become the cry of our heart – speak to me lord for I desire to hear you and receive instructions from you. God is a God of order. He has a well thought out plan for our lives. There is a season and ordained time that the things we desire shall be manifested. Your thoughts towards us are good. We have to weather the storm and deal with each season being confident that he holds our times in his hands (Psalms 31:15)

SPEAK THE ANSWER NOT THE PROBLEM. THE ANSWER IS IN THE WORD OF GOD. Heavenly father we come in the name of your son, Jesus, applying the precious BLOOD OF JESUS over our lives, decisions and activities.

We surrender our will to you and ask that you would pour your will into our lives. Let our heart beat as one with your heart Let us pursue you with all of our heart. .

Speak to us Lord and instruct us in the way we should go. Help us to hear your voice today and be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Give us the mind of Christ and let us be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We commit our works to you and you established us and bring to pass those things we commit to you.

We ask that you guide us with your eyes, keep us as the apple of your eye. We thank you for guiding us in the midnight season of our lives. You give us a song in the night and joy in the morning. We exchange our weakness for your strength. In times of confusion, you ordain peace for us.

Order our steps and bind our feet to the path of righteousness. We are confident that you will make the crooked ways straight and lead us on a plain path. Help us to place our hands in your hand as a child takes his parent's hand and willingly follows them.

We thank you for your assurance that you will never leave us or forsake us. During the most difficult season of our lives, we are confident that you will pick us up and carry us through the storm. Your word comforts us for you told us to fear not, nor be dismayed for you will help us.

For this cause, we bow our knees to you, lift up our voices, and magnify your holy name. We worship you our God with all that is within us and all glory, majesty and power is yours.
