Each day they we open our eyes is a new day that God has given to us. It is another day that he shows us his faithfulness, grace and goodness for the word of God states that he gives us new mercies every day. So each day we have another opportunity to do things better than the day before, to perhaps correct some mistakes, make right some wrong. It is another opportunity to make better decisions regarding our lives. It is another opportunity to make the decision to seek God more intensely than we did the day before.
A songwriter wrote, "It's another day journey and I'm glad about it". Sometimes we get so focused on the tests and trials that we go through that we forget to be "glad about it".
To be glad about the journey, glad that we serve a living God who loves us and guarantees that all things will work together for our good. I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart. I will shew forth all they marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee, I will sing praise to they name, O thou most High. Psalms 9:1-2
God provides daily benefits for us according to Psalms 103. He forgives our sins, heals our bodies, redeems our lives from destruction, and crowneth us with lovingkindness and tender mercies... He gives us new life, new strength, he has made available to us joy for the asking and has ordained peace for us.Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah Psalms 68:19 He is faithful to every promise that he has given us; and watches over his word to see that it performs that which he has ordained it to do. He has a plan for us and his thoughts are good for us. Wow, God is thinking about me, thinking about you. He perfects those things that concern us. He knows the number of hairs on our head and our faces are imprinted on his hand. Who would not serve a God like this?
He has a purpose for every test he allows us to go through. Every test is an open book test. That means we can find the answer in his word. He sends his ministering angels to minister to our needs. Minister – that means to serve us, to take care of us as needed. He sends his warring angels to assist us in warfare against the enemy. The tests that we face are but a light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Cor 4:17. Many of the afflictions of the righteous BUT THE LORD DELIVERS out of THEM ALL. Psalms 34:19 His right hand upholds us when our feet would slip. Sometimes he just steps in and fights the battle for us.
What does he asks in return? Give thanks in everything, for everything and through everything for this is the will of God. Seek his face and boast of his glory. Oh, that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men. Psalms 107:15 What does the Lord my God require of me but (reverently) to fear the Lord my God,(that is) to walk in all his ways and to love him and to serve the Lord my God with all my (mind and) heart and with my entire being. Deu 10:12.
SPEAK THE ANSWER NOT THE PROBLEM. THE ANSWER IS IN THE WORD OF GOD. Heavenly father we come in the name of your son, Jesus just to say Thank you for another day's journey. We do not take your faithfulness for granted but we appreciate your mercies towards us. Holy Spirit we ask that you would help us each and every day to give Thanks to the father, son and you for all the benefits that you have given to us. Remind us that even when we are being tested that you have purpose and in the end, if we endure we shall come through as pure gold. Help us to understand that the fire will not burn and destroy us but it will burn and destroy that which holds us in bondage. May we remember your faithfulness and goodness towards us and begin to make our boast in you. May we be confident in your love for us, your protection and in your provision for us. May we draw from the well of salvation and be full of your joy. We give you thanks because it is a good thing to give thanks to you. We praise you because you ARE GOOD AND YOUR MERCIES ENDURETH FOREVER.
