Intercession is a lost art among the body of Christ. Yet, it is a high priestly calling that requires dedication and sacrifice. It is a privilege, honor and humbling experience to be chosen to be an intercessor. Some people have dedicated their lives to perfecting this art and give themselves to prayer often spending hours upon hours in travail for others As intercessors it is important to know your weapons and when to use them to be effective in this spiritual warfare.

We have spoken in past blogs about the Intercessor's Tool Kit where you will find a listing of resources to assist you in mastering the art of intercession. Today, I am introducing you to The Rules of Engagement by Cindy Trimm and Apostle John Eckhardt Prayers that Rout Demons. Ms. Trimm talks at length about the language of the intercessor. You will notice that most major careers fields have a "language" specific to that field. Medical field speaks of diseases, prognosis, diagnosis, course of treatment etc, electrician speaks of Btu, wattage etc, law enforcement speaks of crime scenes, evidence, convictions etc.

Cindy Trimm gives clear concrete examples of how to use the language of the intercessors back by scriptures. These are excerpts from those book pages 24-37:

As God's official legislator and law enforcement agent:
I come in the name of resurrected Jesus, I affect and enforce God's original plans, I decree and declare, I place upon myself the armor of God, I pull down strongholds, I speak, I establish, I overrule and overthrow, I nullify, I take control over, I dispossess master spirits, I announce that it is you who have blessed me, I forbid an disallow opposing satanic activities, I disapprove and prohibit, I bind satanic harassment, I lift false burdens, I release, I obliterate and annihilate satanic forces, I forcefully resist, I put a halt, I prevail, I execute, I establish, I employ the host of heaven, I superimpose the prophetic word over, I reverse, I come against, I rebuke, I confirm, I send, I arrest.

Apostle John Eckhardt book Prayers that Rout Demons also gives clear concrete examples of how to use the language of the intercessor to destroy the works of the enemy and release the power of God giving scriptures to back up your authority to do this. A few excerpts from his book pages 32-33, 48-51:

I cover my mind and thoughts with the Blood of Jesus, I receive healing and health through the blood, I rebuke and cast out all sins of guilt, shame and condemnation, I remove false burdens, I break and release from curses, I command every demon hiding and operating behind a curse to come out in Jesus' name, No weapon formed against me, I send confusion against every satanic attack coming against me, I quench every fire of wickness, I am redeemed, I choose life, I rebuke the winds and storms of the enemy, Satan the lord rebuke you, every strategy of hell is exposed, I am a king and I break down the high places.

Well I pray that I have given you enough of an appetizer that will encourage you to want more. I recommend that you visit the Intercessor Toolbox for more resources and include these in your toolbox as you increase your weapons of war.

I decree and declare that the spirit of intercession is being birthed in every home, block, city, state and nations. I call forth intercessors willing to acknowledge, repent and turn away from every sin so that you will be able to walk in the supernatural authority against the enemy. I pull down religious spirits and call forth the wind of God to blow upon his people everywhere, the fire of the living God to fall upon the altars of our heart, humility to wrap around us, holiness and sanctification to perfume us and our hearts to pursue God as never before. I speak that we are covered by the blood, protected under the wings of almighty God as we yield to him and become part of his end time army marching in victories on our knees, rising up in his supernatural authority to destroy the works of the enemy. We overthrow, overrule the plans of the enemy and snatch the souls of men, women, boys and girls from his hand through the conquering shed blood of the lamb and the authority of his word. In the matchless name of our lord and savior, our heavenly father and the power of his holy spirit it is so and so it is.
