We have had a year of intense debates and preparation to decide which candidate in the running, will take the helm of this nation.
Like many, this writer was inclined to support Ted Cruz, which I faithfully did until he dropped out of the race. I found myself in the most precarious position after writing some 40 articles about Donald Trump that would be good reason not to choose him over Sen. Cruz – now what?
I needed more than just the fact that compared to Hillary Clinton; Trump looked like a knight in shining armor. That alone was not enough for me, so I began looking deeper into the life and times of that man who has his name blazoned across some of the most impressive edifices in the world.
It was not until I remembered an article I published over ten years past entitled “Dating Christians - The Best Advice You Will Ever Hear” that I realized that I had the already found a formula by which to make the ultimate comparison between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
The formula was the advice that I had given to people seeking a mate for life and I have been counseling others with that principle for over forty years. It has never proven wrong and I saw that it could be trusted. FULL POST

I once thought it was kind of a dumb saying that my father oft repeated when he said, “Nothing is free, and there is always a price to pay.”
In fact, there are a few things that were actually totally free, but I noticed that most giveaways have little to no intrinsic value and are usually come-ons to put us in the neighborhood where something else would be offered that was anything, but free.
Americans love to say “Freedom is not free” but as we go further down the road into unbridled sexual licentiousness and liberal responses to moral standards we seem to be leaving freedom behind as we enter a free for all mentality. It has become apparent that even a free for all, is not totally free.
Even though the Bible clearly says that we will eventually get a return on any and all indiscretion, there is always a time factor involved. We don’t plant today and reap tomorrow. It is often the time element, the misunderstood effect of homeostasis and a failure to properly project the outcome of our behavior personally and collectively that makes us victims of our own worst judgment.
This warning is often known, but men will take a chance anyway. FULL POST

In a nation choking to death on political correctness, it would seem that I should immediately follow the title of this article with an apology. This will never happen in my lifetime.
News releases for today included the call of Pope Francis for us to apologize to gays and Hillary’s proclamation that the ruling of the Supreme Court to strike down a Texas abortion law was a solid victory.
Which subject should be covered in today’s issue du jour?
It was a choice between the Pope’s apostasy in mis-leading 1.2 billion Catholics or the callousness of a presidential candidate who will one day see these words in a panoramic optic of her own life and be asked what they mean.
Jesus’ words: “And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Mt 18: 5-6)
Hillary’s words: “a victory for women across America” and “upheld every woman’s right to safe, legal abortion, no matter where she lives.” FULL POST

In a meeting in New York this week Donald Trump promised evangelical leaders that he would fight for religious freedoms and only appoint Supreme Court judges that supported right to life as opposed to abortionists.
Troy Newman of Operation Rescue was present at the historic meeting and said nothing like it has ever happened before. A list of Trump’s promises for the pro-life movement was given at the Operation Rescue website as follows:
1. Appoint pro-life Supreme Court justices, which have been pre-vetted by the conservative Federalist Society and Heritage Foundation.
2. Appoint strong pro-life judges to the Federal Courts.
3. Repeal and replace Obamacare and the abortion mandate that forces the insured to pay for abortions and abortifacient drugs.
4. Actively support and sign into law the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
5. Defund America’s largest supplier of abortion, Planned Parenthood.
An executive panel was announced and the list is generally very impressive. At the top of the list is Congresswoman and former presidential candidate Michele Bachmann. Another notable, is Dr. James Dobson founder of Focus on the Family and prolific author and speaker. FULL POST

Let’s not waste too much time on Hillary Clinton. With firepower minutes away and the clout of the entire State Department behind her, Hillary was unable to save even one of her key subordinates in Benghazi. Let’s move on – nothing to see here.
It is not just Benghazi. Hillary’s State Department blocked an investigation of the Orlando killer Omar Mateen’s mosque for fear of offending Muslims.
Hillary now has the distinction of being the only presidential candidate in history who, while promising to defend America from Jihadists – may have already helped to bring on the worst act of Jihad so far on American soil.
Her record follows her and that alone should produce fear in most Americans.
Hillary accuses Trump of fostering fear and hatred, terms she has little right to use unless you have the wit to see it is only her fear and hatred of Trump that is speaking.
It’s not the favorability poll, but the death toll we should be considering for our candidates. It is doubtful that attacks will stop under Hillary Clinton, but radical Jihadist will be put on the defensive from the first minute Donald Trump becomes president. FULL POST

Men have buried themselves in a generation long use of the language of modern psychiatry. The idea of a man being mis-led deceived or possessed by a demon or devil seems arcane to the modern mind.
Jesus was explicit and made a careful and concise distinction between mental illness and demon possession.
“And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.” (Mt 4: 24)
Liberalism scoffs at the idea of a man under the control of a devil, and yet, God’s word says that it is not just one man or a few that are under the sway of demons, but entire nations.
Twenty centuries have passed as the gospel is still being preached to all men; within the tenets of the gospel is a promise that by receiving Christ we can rid ourselves of all demonic influence. It is not the path men will choose, they will continue down the broad path until nearly all of them follow the old serpent into the battle of Armageddon.
At Christ’s return he deals with the deceiver directly – to wit. FULL POST

“If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.” (Heb 12: 7-8)
True messengers of the gospel not only love God, but they love their nation and its people. It may seem all too rudimentary, but those who love their children warn, rebuke and punish them regularly – those who do not do this don’t love their children and we might say they actually hate them or at the least are indifferent.
Hardly a week passes without someone suggesting that my candid reviews of our politicians, church leaders and others do not seem very loving. In fact, it is because I love God and this nation that I say the things I do.
The American Prophet website has hundreds of articles that do not speak favorably about Barack Obama, and yet, I love him, even if it is on the most fundamental level. That level is of course, that he is created in the image of God and is as redeemable as any other citizen of our nation. I hate most of his policies and executive orders and it is to those I speak.
Donald Trump has earned about forty scrutinizing articles on the site, most are not very flattering, but, I do love the man. To love a man with an ego as big as the Grand Canyon tests the very limits of my Christian faith, but I can love him for the same reasons I love Obama. FULL POST

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” (Ec 3: 1)
Some say that we are caught between a rock and a hard place in this election season. Others conclude that since Ted Cruz is out of the running, we are left with only the lesser of two evils. It may be that what is relative is now being forced upon us, but regardless of how we view the dilemma we are faced with things that are readily apparent.
Because of Donald Trump’s obvious lack of class, savvy and statesmanship we will suffer a loss if he is elected president. Contrarily, the nation will be completely lost if we elect Hillary Clinton and the Godless liberalism that has eroded our morality and our freedom is allowed to continue under a Clintonian administration.
It can be said in several ways, but the truth cannot be denied. We cannot possibly compare Donald Trump with Ronald Reagan, but we also dare not fail to compare Trump with Clinton. It is a good thing that Mr. Trump wants to “make America great” - but we would be better off if we had a great man to lead the charge. Making billions and blazoning your name across tall buildings is the poorest definition of greatness, but these are desperate times. FULL POST

Honestly, why does anyone have to ask this question? Since it is not a law, but only a tradition that presidential candidates open their tax records to the public, why has Donald Trump refused to show his records to the world?
He is breeding suspicion and controversy. While it is true that some internet sites feed us questions galore and attempt to pass it off as news – this one is begging for an answer.
Donald Trump entered the great “Birther Controversy” with great fervor and some think that it was his interest in the matter that forced Barack Obama to produce his birth certificate. There are still many who believe Barack’s mysterious document is a fake.
Now, it is Trump’s refusal to show his tax records that are making some believe he is a fake.
He has stated that he will show his records, but not until after the November general elections are finished.
How convenient. Won’t it be too late? Will someone raise the specter of an impeachment or will they just throw their hands in the air and give up? How far did the cry for impeachment get when Obama started ignoring the congress, the constitution, and just about everyone in the nation? FULL POST

Mr. Trump has promised that he will “make America great again.” It is a promise that Trump no doubt believes and it is relatively safe to think that he will endeavor to keep.
After a half century of involvement in eschatology, prophecy and the decline of our nation I must emphatically state the Mr. Trump is a day late and a dollar short. The worst of our decline has taken place in the last forty years and the levels to which we have sunk cannot be properly assuaged or coaxed back to our best days even by a multi-billionaire.
Now, Mr. Trump has become America’s entire new Ross Perot candidate on the GOP ballot. Early polls are already indicating that Trump is several points behind Hillary in the general election outcome.
A second dilemma has arisen and can be seen in the Tweets and Facebook comments of Americans who say they cannot vote for Trump as a matter of principle. Some have called for the unifying of the party in an effort to defeat Hillary. Others will not abandon their strong and principled beliefs because they are sure that Trump is not the right man.
Like this writer, they believe Trump means every word he says, but it is all else he says that drive them away from the man. The press calls Trump a phenomenon, but more honestly he should be called an enigma. He is creating an enigma in Americans who want what he says, but not him. FULL POST
