The momentum of the Trump mystique of strength and streamlined anti-pc un-stop ability is finally coming under the scrutiny of America’s best Christian minds and online journals.
The ever popular and undisputed most powerful online Christian journal, The Christian Post, posted an editorial entitled, “Donald Trump Is a Scam. Evangelical Voters Should Back Away (CP Editorial)” - in a word this editorial is scathing, but it is fair.
The editorial begins with a serious editor’s note which says, “The Christian Post has not taken a position on a political candidate before today. We are making an exception because Trump is exceptionally bad and claims to speak for and represent the interests of evangelicals.”
The CP editors joined in saying “We the senior editors of The Christian Post encourage our readers to back away from Donald Trump.
As the most popular evangelical news website in the United States and the world, we feel compelled by our moral responsibility to our readers to make clear that Donald Trump does not represent the interests of evangelicals and would be a dangerous leader for our country. FULL POST

In what might be called a victory speech Donald Trump addressed the media at 9pm on Tuesday March 1, 2016 breathing out rebuke for China, his one note campaign song for the last six months. Repeating himself with redundant phrases and catch words, it was an adolescent who simply does not know what to say. Clearly, intelligence and articulation were among the great losers of the day.
Minnesota, Texas, Oklahoma and Alaska sent Trump packing while the South gave him the greenlight. Anti-Trump super PAC is ready to haul out the big guns so the battle is far from won, but the real story is what the Republican voters are willing to forgo, deny and refuse to see, to put Trump in the White House.
More vociferous than ever are the forecasters who claim that a Trump win in the primaries is a Hillary victory in the general election. Donald Trump is the Ross Perrot of 2016 who may win the race to the election while America loses the trophy by sheer force of being un-deterred.
Exactly, what are the Trump devotees un-deterred about? Christian sensibilities, principles and common sense have been suspended by Trump’s supporters and it seems that if Barack Obama has led the nation to the edge of its own demise, Trump has showed up in a nick of time, to kick what’s left of the nation right over the cliff. “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” – Genesis 12: 3
As a nation we have crossed the line with the continuation of abortion genocide that has produced death to unborn human beings to the tune of 55 million. Following that, we added ‘same sex marriage’ to the list of insults to God and man. What’s left?
In fact, America has only one insult remaining before God will pull his hand of protection from us completely and that is, without doubt, when we decide to give up our full allegiance and protection to our staunchest Middle East ally Israel.
In the last Republican debate Donald Trump declared that we would not side with Israel in its conflict with the Palestinians. To appreciate Trump’s position on Israel and exactly how both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio countered Donald’s traitorous and mealy mouthed betrayal, you must watch the entire debate or read the transcript. This writer firmly believes that not to do so, is perilous. FULL POST

Some reports say as high as two thirds of the evangelicals in the state of South Carolina helped Donald Trump to win the primary in that state.
Prior to the election period it was the belief that evangelicals were all; born again, church attending, Bible reading believers.
If the definition has not changed, then the latest behavior of the evangelicals would force us to abandon the old definition for an all new pedigree heretofore unknown in all of Christendom.
Definitions notwithstanding, when a person is, in fact, born again, reading and trusting in the Bible and the Lord, there would be no reasonable way to justify supporting Donald Trump for President.
There are several biblical teachings that would bring Trump’s candidacy into question.
Jesus Christ knew that as the years went by, many people would either mistakenly think they were Christians and some would knowingly use falsehoods and pretense to claim that they were indeed in the fold.
Knowing this, Christ gave his followers several tests by which to ascertain the authenticity of any and all those who called themselves Christian. Here is that test in all of its simple, but profound and fully accurate way of determining the veracity of any anyone’s claim. FULL POST

Since he pulled out of the debate prior to the New Hampshire caucuses it became clear that the Donald does not play well with other children.
What is now also apparent is that while lots of money can push anyone into the privileged class – it is no guarantee that the privileged will have any class.
With attack ads lighting fires all over the GOP election battlefield, Trump is crying foul and breathing out fiery threats of “lawsuits” against Senator Ted Cruz.
Trump is known for frivolous lawsuits like the one leveled against Bill Maher. Trump sued Maher for not paying off on a five million dollar promise if Trump could prove he was not the son of a monkey. He dropped the suit, but the characteristically Trumpian the “I’ll sue you” die was cast.
Is it possible that Trump doesn’t know that in terms of foreign policy we cannot sue every nation that disagrees with us? Facetious? Don’t be too sure. FULL POST

“But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.” (James 1: 19-20 NASB)
Among the newscasters and pundits it is heard every day that Donald Trump is reflecting the anger of the American people. According to the apostle James that will not change very much and, in fact, in America’s fallen moral state, it may be what brings us to judgment rather than birthing some renewal of “greatness."
Shouldn’t we be asking if God is angry?
We complain about Obama’s lawlessness and obviously sleazy moral agenda, the liberally saturated Senate and the wimpy powerless Congress. While everyone disdains the breakdown in law and morals, nine men and women cloister in their chambers for a time and then emerge to proclaim that unborn babies aren’t human enough to save. After a generation of living in that lie, they frost the cake with the ruling that men can marry men.
And now we are angry?
We need to calm ourselves and question what kind of thinking, what appointments to the judiciary branch we have allowed, and what response God might have to a generation long slide into reprobation. FULL POST

Every day more sordid, revealing and incredulous revelations come down the information highway on Donald Trump. At the same time the sycophantic call to put the loud mouth ahead of all others grows. Does this speak to the character of the nation or is it a collective insanity forced on us by nearly eight years of the wimpy Obama administration?
This writer actually doesn’t care what part of the above question is true, because there is another truth that rises above the question.
The truth is that just as no one listened to the warnings about Barack Obama in both 2008 and 2012 – now, almost no one is listening to the truth about Donald Trump.
Is history is about to repeat itself – with a vengeance?
The list is far too long to make comment on every point, but each is linked for the discerning mind – which we hope still exists in today’s America.
The supreme question in the end is; how can a man who himself is not “great” make “America great again?”
Here are the twelve most important questions Americans can ask the man who thinks he can make the nation “great” again. Let us answer these questions now, or we will be asking only one question in our future – why did we blindly give this man the highest office in the land? FULL POST

“Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident, riches take wing, and only character endures.” - Horace Greely
Any Christian messenger worth his salt has at some time in the last seven years called upon America to observe a very unique scripture passage. It is a clarion call to any nation that wants to find favor with God or return to better times. The passage never mentions getting a new leader because the business of renewing a nation is always done through its citizens. The passage is so familiar it almost needs no reiteration, but for the few who may have missed it:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Ch 7: 14)
A deluge of articles have appeared in recent months written by Christian leaders and other serious pundits that give dire warnings about the rise of Trump. They range from articles that question Trump’s Christianity to a disgusting piece on Yahoo News about a statement Trump made publicly about his attraction to his own daughter Ivanka. FULL POST

After watching Bill O’Reilly urging Donald Trump to be forgiving in a back slapping, I’ve known you since eternity, we both give money to causes fest; only one memory remains in the mind. It is a picture of a fuming, angry, petulant almost pre-pubescent toddler in a tantrum picture of Donald Trump’s scowling face.
He was the picture of the pouting child that the world will see as all America.
Fox News host O’Reilly, nearly embarrassed himself on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 as he tried unsuccessfully to get Trump to reconsider his choice not to appear in the seventh Republican Debate.
When O’Reilly admonished Trump to consider the New Testament teaching on forgiveness, Trump fired back with the Old Testament call for “an eye for an eye.” There is little doubt that Megyn Kelley, Roger Ailes and perhaps even O‘Reilly would have to live with one eye if the Donald had his way.
It was abundantly clear that Donald could not be swayed; he was going to pick up his marbles and go home so the other children would not be able to keep playing. FULL POST

Starting with a clear definition of who is, and who is not a Christian, is needed to make this test possible.
Bible believing Christians, who take biblical doctrines seriously, may use this test, but apostate Christians and those who have caved to the immorality of the day are disqualified, not to mention disinterested, in such a test.
The bible clearly warns that a man’s words and his deeds must line up. In politics the words are changed slightly to a candidate’s record and his or her rhetoric. In either case it is a simple matter of the synchronization of a person’s words and deeds.
This is test one.
After checking to see if what they say and what they do is a match, we have second litmus test that not only could be applied, but for those seeking God’s guidance in today’s political climate – they must be applied.
The essence of the test is easy and it can best be seen in the following statement made by Jesus Christ to his own followers.
“For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.” (Lk 9: 26) FULL POST
