Sen. Rubio’s Earth – It isn’t about Science it’s about Silence

Huff-Po and the pop-culture scoffers seem un-nerved of late over Sen. Marco Rubio’s statement about the mystery of the age of the planet earth. He told GQ’s Michael Hainey that many theories have been put forth and all of them might be worthy of a look see. GQ spends more time on deciding who will make the list of ‘men of the year’ and the plague of erectile dysfunction, so, just when did they take up the deep scientific question of origins?

The criticism of Sen. Rubio’s statements is at best, hyper-dismissiveness, wrapped in a thin veneer of intellectual pride, posing as reason. It is not simply pop-science that the emerging creation science speaks to, but it is every assertion of science that is accepted without deeper or even other scrutiny. For any science to be legitimate it must grow up as it were and be willing to undergo a greater scrutiny; today’s Darwinism is not in any way allowing an alternate view or considering the latest discoveries and pertinent data, in this, and the slights against Rubio, the word dilettante comes to mind.

Perhaps the readers of Huff and GQ have little time between school, cool and deciding who is a fool to actually question the speculated 4.5 billion years scientists have announced as the right number of years to create and age the earth. Is scoffing now an element of empiricism? Have the heady taken up juvenile sliming to polish the rust spots in highly disputable scientific speculation? Creation Science has a lot to say about bloated, untested, un-witnessed speculation, but the Darwin train left the station long ago and the evolutionists won’t be back to better reasoning for a long time. Prophecy 2013 – The Year Winners Become Losers

Be Careful What You Ask For

An old adage among Christians is ‘Be careful what you ask God for because you just might get it,’ but this year, more than any other in our history, that adage has become a reality in politics with the re-election of Barack Obama.

Journalists have well covered the dire predictions a second term with Obama is almost sure to produce, but few speculations include prophecy. In this piece we will separate the obvious from the prophetic, for obvious reasons.

Romney pulled in 59 million votes against Obama’s 62 million and since 74 million Americans are under voting age that means about 155 million people did not vote at all. Who are these people who could care less about who is chosen to lead this country? It does not require a prophecy to predict that they will soon wake up to the hard fact that their disinterest will be the most costly dithering in U.S. history.

Barack Obama’s record on the economy, foreign policy, energy and the moral issues should be warning enough that the future will not get much better, but the pop culture voters who think a big smile and a bag of promises are all it takes to make a leader will be the most surprised. Even the poorest powers of deduction will be able to conclude that the winners in this election will soon be seen as the biggest losers in our entire history as a nation. FULL POST

Obama Triumphs - The Worst is Yet to Come

The day after the general elections the New Orleans Times Picayune ran the headline, “Obama Triumphs – ‘The Best is yet to Come.’” The sinking feeling in this writer's heart had no place to go, it was already at rock bottom, but the headline managed to create a nauseating pain in my stomach and a deepening sense of foreboding for the nation I love so much.

The etymology of the Creole derived ‘lagniappe’ (something added) so often used in the New Orleans area, is strained by the idea of the ‘best’ being yet to come, as suggested in the Picayune’s headline. About half of the nation is now firmly convinced that Barack Obama’s worst is about to come. It is a case of one man’s hope and naiveté being another man’s perversion.

We may expect the preachers, prophets and messengers of the nation to read the outcome of the election as a disastrous final sign of doom for the nation. In fact it is not a final sign, but merely a step in an ever changing world that is indeed headed toward the prophesied, ‘Battle of Armageddon.’ Prophecy is not speculation if it is based on scripture and a reasonable interpretation of eschatology’s more obvious declarations. What it is and always will be to the very last day is - pre-written history. FULL POST

Barack or the Bible – No Contest

Pseudo Christians, and non-believers can and will vote any way their conscience dictates, but real Bible believing Christians are constrained by the message of the Bible in its entirety. It (the Bible) does not allow us to disrespect the office of the president nor to hate him or any other liberals in the nation, but it also restricts our choices of candidates who defiantly and overtly put forth any political message, legislation or social change that is in direct defiance to the moral laws of God.

When the President announced that his view of same sex marriage had ‘evolved’ and when he made it clear that he was not going to come against abortion we were forced like the Apostle Peter to make a choice.

Peter was told to stop proclaiming the gospel in public and to keep his faith in God silent. His reply is clear, “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5: 29)

Our reply to the social twists of the day is also clear. We cannot call an activity God calls an abomination or a sin of perversion, a respectable, acceptable social change for ourselves or our nation. The book of Romans which brands all homosexual activity as an offense to God is our Magna Carta and the final word for the direction of our lives. FULL POST

How Would Lincoln Vote in the 2012 Election?

Any normal school student could research and find the heart of the Lincoln administration and of Lincoln himself, in very short time. Discovering Lincoln’s sole purpose during his presidency may be easy, but that does not make it unimportant, in fact, it may be the most important discovery any American could make in a lifetime except for coming to the love of Christ.

Only a cursory comparison of Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama would force any discerning mind to a singular conclusion. One President was the great unifier and the other is the great divider.

Barack Obama has managed to set brother against brother, women against men and the rich against the poor. He has made villains of entrepreneurs and heroes of those on the dole. He has put enmity between those who want to extract our natural resources as opposed to those who think we should build windmills.

He has alarmed women to believe that their right to discard their unwanted children is greater than the natural human instinct to live that each unborn child possesses, but is unable to voice.

He has facilitated a class distinction that pits a group called the 99 percent against another referred to as the 1 percent. He has made the wealthiest out to be thieves who do not pay their fair share of taxes even while knowing that they pay more taxes than the middle class and they always have. FULL POST

In the Phony War on Women Both Scripture and Science are Ignored

A hush fell on the recent vice presidential debate in Denver when moderator Martha Raddatz asked Biden and Ryan their heartfelt views on abortion. Biden, who doesn’t mind imposing Obamacare on America and hundreds of Obama’s executive orders on everyone from Charlie Brown to law enforcement officials, said he believed in the Catholic churches position, but would not impose it on others.

Ryan stated his faith in the churches position as well, but added that he also used reason and science to complete or inform his views. Here is a case of a full orbed personality, balanced, honest and discerning. Is it safe to conclude that Ryan believes that all three; religion, reason and science are declaring the same thing? Is it reasonable to say they all declare that life begins at conception and thus needs to be regarded, protected and nurtured from that initial point and forward?

The majority of Americans that are now pro-life are women thanks to dozens of organizations like One Million Moms and others, but women who have decided to ignore the cry seem to be at ease or at least mostly silent about both abortion and abuse of women and children. This is reflected repeatedly in the silence that follows reported cases of abuse against women in Muslim countries and here at home. FULL POST

It Wasn’t God’s Voice I Heard – It Was Yours

With Muslim leaders and the UN actually considering limiting speech that would, in turn, limit any criticism of the so called prophet of Islam, we are forced to consider what sort of speech will be disallowed next. Will we be scooped up and incarcerated for saying the President is doing a bad job? (Lot of arrests to be made on this point) Will conservative voices across the media be silenced for crossing well over the acceptable limits of politically correct speech?

On October 7, 2012 churches across the land will participate in what is known as “Pulpit Freedom Sunday.” It is a day of preaching and teaching about life and family issues as taught in scriptures and how each candidate in the upcoming 2012 elections views and practices these biblical tenets. In keeping with this effort I not only salute the brave pastors who are participating, but I have chosen to offer, yet once again, what I know to be the two most important messages ever granted to me in a lifetime.

As children we may remember when the aphorism, “children should be seen and not heard” was engaged to put us to silence. But time would not hold the maxim up forever; because the same children may many years later be called upon to speak in matters that would decide the fate of the adults that once silenced them. Be it medical care or admittance into a nursing facility, the formerly silenced voice may now be heard to give the final disposition of the parent. FULL POST

Eye Candy on the View – Am-dad at the UN – America on the Rocks

Current affairs and foreign policy have met together in a Disney like cartoon production where Howard Stern is heard asking questions about Romney’s choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate and getting serious answers from Obama supporters found on the street.

Just when unbelievable, pushes the cartoon toward the horror genre, along comes the polls out of Ohio. The state’s motto is a Bible verse, ‘with God all things are possible,’ but a glance at the Obama jump in the polls forces any serious researcher to check, just to be sure if the motto may have been appendaged with ‘even if you are living in a vacuum.’

It is hard to believe that the state that gave us Presidents Harding, Hayes, Harrison, Grant and Garfield has now opted for a pop-culture, eye candy hero, whose idea of foreign policy is showing up on ‘The View’ giggling, prancing and looking pretty, while 1.5 billion Muslims are bringing the world to the brink of world war three. The only thing missing is Daffy Duck or perhaps Lady Gaga to finish up the show.

In his UN speech on Tuesday September 24, 2012 Obama said “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. But to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see in the images of Jesus Christ that are desecrated, or churches that are destroyed, or the Holocaust that is denied.” FULL POST

The Philosophy of Abortion - Intrinsically Flawed

If this article were entitled “The Philosophy of Abortion is Demonic,” some readers would have never started reading, especially, after seeing that the author is a minister. It would have been a far more honest title, but trying to explain how the inspiration that originates with the “god of this world,” (Satan,) results in what is known as the “doctrine of devils” would be daunting.

The biblical teaching provides a definitive and decisive blow to abortion and all pro-abortion arguments from several perspectives, but one verse alone speaks to abortion in no uncertain terms. To wit:

“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Mt 18: 6)

First, who would argue that ‘death’ for a tiny unborn human being (fetus) would constitute a very serious offense? Secondly, who has the right to decide the extent or fullest meaning of the words “little ones” in the verse? The meaning of the verse cannot be strained so as not to include the unborn, which are indeed, the littlest of all human beings. FULL POST

New York, Cairo and Libya - From Nonsense to Madness

PC, tolerance and diversity is rapidly approaching critical mass as seen in the headlines this week. In Libya, Cairo and throughout the Muslim nations, protests have taken lives and destroyed property, but in America’s largest city, a victory against obesity has been declared.

New York’s Mayor Bloomberg signed into law the most important bit of nonsense to come down the pike in Big Apple history. It is the intrusive, liberty squashing law that bans the sale or purchase of any soft drink over 16 ounces and will be in full force within six months.

Just when the shock of one invasion of personal freedom is wearing off another news item splashes across the headlines, “Texas City student banned from wearing cross necklace.” Yes, the cross on the rosary could bring fear to the PC indoctrinated. Lawsuits would be unleashed and counseling and psychological help would be offered in government paid programs to save our citizens from PC-trauma caused by an iconic symbol of the church – not.
