Congressman Emanuel Cleaver Cleaves to Planned Parenthood

text size A A A

What does it feel like to be honored by an organization that has killed over 12 million human beings? What goes through the mind of an individual who’s shiny, yet blood-streaked, trophy celebrates the mutilation of another person? Does one say “Planned Parenthood only killed 329,445 this year, but I hope we can top that next year”?

I would love to ask Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), these very questions. He was recently awarded by Planned Parenthood at a CBC Annual Legislative Conference, for his “tireless work on behalf of millions of women…who faced the most aggressive attacks on women’s health and rights in a generation.”

The aggressor is Planned Parenthood, preying on those it propagandizes to believe that it is the savior of the black community. Sorry. We already have a Savior, and He came to give life…not take it. Representative Cleaver is a minister. He knows this.

The CBC, all democrats with one dissenting anti-Planned Parenthood Republican (Congressman Allen West), has fallen for this false messiah, worshipping at the altar of “choice”.

According to the Planned Parenthood website:

“Planned Parenthood is excited to honor Chairman Cleaver, who has been one of our staunchest and most steadfast supporters,” said Dawn Leguens, PPFA executive vice president for public policy. “He is outspoken and committed to protecting women’s access to health care ensuring that African-American women have access to breast health education and services so they can detect breast cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage.”

Emanuel Cleaver is listed as Advisory Board Member of Missouri Citizens for Life
Missouri Right to Life
In left column, Rep. Cleaver's name can be seen as Missouri Citizens for Life Advisory Board Member. His prolife convictions changed when he ran for Democrat Mayor of Kansas City, MO.

Cleaver used to be outspoken about protecting women and children from Planned Parenthood. He wasn’t always pro-abortion. There was a time, before the character-morphing act of running for national political office, that he was passionately pro-life. And he wasn’t just a pro-life wallflower; he was actively engaged. He was once on the Board of Advisors of Missouri’s largest prolife organization, Missouri Citizens for Life (now Missouri Right to Life) while he was a Kansas City councilman (see embedded pic of letterhead with his name in left column). Apparently, he left his pro-life convictions behind when he ran for Democrat mayor of Kansas City.

The CBC actions, under the leadership of Cleaver, have brought more death in urban areas by partnering with its number one killer, Planned Parenthood. They are the cancer that continues to destroy the black community by promoting sexual irresponsibility, dismantling families, fostering fatherlessness and harming women’s emotional, spiritual and physical health.

Remember over the summer that Attorney General Eric Holder called the Congressional Black Caucus the “conscience of the Congress”? All comedy aside, the CBC has a tendency to allow money to dictate that “conscience”. For years, despite the higher rates of cancer in the black community, they willingly accepted over $250,000 annually from the tobacco industry in donations to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. For decades they traded morality for money. According to an exposé by the University of California and the National Cancer Institute, the tobacco industry used prominent African-American organizations “to make the case that raising cigarette taxes hurt African Americans.” They simply employed what Planned Parenthood did in their racial targeting in their 1939 Negro Project—using influential black leaders and organizations to buy the lie. The lie was powerful, pervasive and persuasive. That may explain why free cigarettes used to be handed out at CBC meetings, according to the New York Times.

Some things never change.

Now, the industry putting money into their political pockets is Planned Parenthood.

Even though the black community is vastly and disproportionately impacted by abortion, Cleaver and the CBC continue to promote the abortion giant and vote to give it half a billion dollars every year as unintended pregnancy rates climb in the black community. Blacks comprise 40.2% of all nationwide abortions while only 12.2% of the population, according to the CDC. And that’s not where the destructive health impact ends.

Previous induced abortions have been found, in study after study after study after study (ok, you get the point) to increase breast cancer risk. Debunking the false conclusions, to the contrary, a 2009 publication in the Journal of Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention provides the proof tragically silenced by the scientific community. The breast cancer link study reexamined their 2003 research and found that: “In analyses of all 897 breast cancer cases… older age, family history of breast cancer, earlier menarche age, induced abortion, and oral contraceptive use were associated with an increased risk of breast cancer.”

So how does one justify supporting an organization that not only slaughters, and profits from, a group of humans considered non-persons, but also hugely contributes to increasing breast cancer in the women who entrust them with their “reproductive care”?

The CBC is no different than many other political collectives who rarely represent the real needs of their constituents. Because they add a racial component onto everything they do, it’s even more heinous that their undying support for the abortion industry has caused more deaths than (Democrat-founded) KKK lynchings or any other insidious race-motivated cause of death.

I wonder if they’ll be handing out free abortions at the next CBC meeting.

The Negro Project 2.0 reveals every day how potently successful the influence was of the first Negro Project. Planned Parenthood knew it needed black people to con black people. And today they have an abundance of them in a party symbolized by a stubborn mule.
