Outsourcing certain tasks is a great way for businesses to allow the time to take care of critical time consuming tasks, while still managing to increase productivity and decrease expenditures. Technology related tasks are generally the most lucrative to outsource in that passing off the responsibility to complete such tasks allows for the business owner to focus their time on more profitable areas of business. That means, instead of being stuck trying to figure out how to build a decent website, you could instead be focusing on sales team improvements, cultivating marketing strategies, refining customer service skills and so much more.
That being said, not every area of business is ideal to outsource to another party, for in doing so you could very well hinder your business’s productivity and therefore decrease profits. For your convenience, here are 7 technology related tasks that businesses should outsource in order to boost productivity, sales and promote success. FULL POST

It is rather difficult, if not impossible, to think about computer security without feeling some sort of anxiety. After all, it is an expense that some of us invest heavily in and yet still fall victim to cybercrimes. If large corporations such as Target and Citibank who spend millions every year on internet security can be hacked, then why should we believe that we stand any sort of chance at all against malicious cyber attackers?
The fact of the matter is that there is much that you can do, either as a small business owner or an individual, to protect your computer without a large financial outlay. The most important thing to remember when looking to boost your computer's security ring is that antivirus software does not protect against everything. It is a common misconception among consumers that basic antivirus software will effectively protect their computers from all sorts of malicious activity – this is far from the truth. It is estimated that basic antivirus software programs may be able to detect up to 20 percent of attacks on our computers – 20 percent. That is all. What about the other 80 percent? For this reason, we cannot put all of our eggs in one basket (so to speak) when it comes to protecting our precious PC’s. We must take care not to rely solely on antivirus software for the full protection of our entire system. Try these 5 simple, yet effective, tips instead to further protect your computer by enhancing its security ring. FULL POST

It’s no big surprise that technology is changing the world in a big way. This most recent technological revolution has been going strong for decades, and shows little indication of stopping anytime soon. This is an incredibly exciting time to a consumer, and it seems as though some sort of new innovation is released monthly. Technology has changed the way that people keep in touch, communicate, pay their bills, and even organize their personal and professional lives.
The rampant and rapid development of technology has affected the business world very significantly. Everything from the idea of inter-office communication to the idea of customer service has been altered, and consumers and entrepreneurs alike are demanding the most convenient, powerful tools that they can get their hands on. One of the areas that seems to be experiencing particularly rapid growth is that of web conferencing. No longer are conferences limited to face-to-face or telephone conversations only. With the ever-increasing abilities of technology, it’s easier than ever to create dynamic web conferences that can connect everyone, regardless of geographical location.
The idea of a brick and mortar office is no longer the prevailing image that comes to mind when talking about the workplace. This is because, thanks to technology such as cloud-based software; stable internet connections that cover most of the developed world; and mobile devices that are able to connect individuals to corporations in all sorts of situations, individuals don’t necessarily need to be in office building itself to be productive and keep themselves on track. The unprecedented mobile technology available even allows individuals who are traveling the world to set up shop and work from any café or business that offers an internet connection. That’s not to say, however, that it’s enough to simply to move on the fly and hope that a laptop will be a sufficient tool – there are steps that need to be taken in order to ensure that a good communication infrastructure(such as online screen sharing, among others) is available to connect employer to employee.
