Lets face it, negativity surrounds us and it can be quite challenging to stay inspired and motivated. Every day we are faced with a set of obstacles that will challenge our faith and will make us want to throw in the towel and give up on life.
As a devoted Christian, I want do everything I can to be the best version of myself. So, I wanted to share with this community five things that help keep me grounded and my relationship close to God.
1. Practice Gratitude Daily
Every day, I focus on one thing that I am extremely grateful for. Whether it is my wife, health, friends, job, children, or this beautiful planet, when I wake up first thing in the morning I like to remind myself of how blessed I am.
Every time I remind myself, it really helps me to focus on the simple things in life. So many of us get wrapped up in all the crazy things going on around us that we forget to enjoy and appreciate the simple things.

Nowadays, children do not take the time to sing nursery rhymes anymore. Technology has taken over, we all probably know toddlers that can operate laptops very well. Things are obviously different than when we were kids but singing of nursery rhymes is a tradition that must continue. Singing of nursery rhymes to children is something that has been done for centuries, I believe if we think hard enough, we can remember the nursery rhymes we sang as kids if, I can remember a few nursery rhymes I sang as a child. This shows how potent nursery rhymes are to the upbringing of a child.
Johnny Johnny yes papa and five monkeys jumping on the bed are the rhymes I chose to use as a case study to show how educative nursery rhymes can be as opposed to the myth that nursery rhymes are just a pile of mumbo jumbo songs that kids sing with no valuable lessons.
Johny johny yes papa is a traditional nursery rhyme that educates your Toddlers, babies or children as well as educates them. The song teaches kids not to lie as well as teaching them how to identify colours. In the song, papa asks Johnny if he ate the sweets and he lies, he gets a big colourful nose as punishment kind of like pinnochio with a twist. This rhyme teaches the children a valuable lesson about how lying is bad, as children retain things they hear and see more. FULL POST

Transhumanism is a movement that seeks to find the solutions to mankind problem’s in robotics, genetic modification and general human involvement in what would be perceived to be natural processes. This movement is often perceived as the enemy of religion because the views contrast so strongly, but that need not be the case.
To learn more about transhumanism, robotics and related concerns, visit Human Paragon, a leading resource for anyone in the Transhumanism community and anyone seeking more information. For info on how this connects to Christianity, read on.
We’re All After the Same Thing
Christians and transhumanists both want to better mankind, to reduce poverty, suffering and illness the world over. These two goals are the same, and any groups that so strongly share the same ideals should not be the enemy of one another.
Transhumanists seek to better understand the genetic makeup of mankind in order to find ways of tweaking this. It is artificial evolution and if as Christians we can accept evolution and the way that this ties into our beliefs, then surely we can so the same with the science of transhumanism. After all, it is our duty on this earth to love and to care—to be altruistic. And there is nothing more loving and caring the using our natural talents and intelligence to mold the world around us in order to remove the problems we face every day. FULL POST

It’s a question that has been argued for hundreds of years and one that always finds a way to raise its head in the current climate: Does gambling hurt the economy or does it help it?
There are two sides to every story, tow arguments for every case. The ones who want to see gambling legalized in the United States point to the fact that it will generate more money for the regions in which the casinos are placed. They argue that it will help to boost business, creating more jobs, attracting more tourists and generally keeping more money in.
The ones against it argue that it will destroy these local towns. They say that it will eradicate local business, making everything a front for gambling and effectively wiping out any sense of identity and culture that these regions had previously. But what is the truth?
Gambling is Not That Profitable
As Christians, we campaign against gambling legalization because it is immoral and promotes unethical activity. But let’s not kid ourselves. That has nothing to do with why it’s illegal. The truth is, if it made money then it would be legal. FULL POST

The new “GOP Healthcare Plan” seemed to be gaining traction and over the last few weeks it looked like it could be given life, effectively paving way for the annihilation of Obamacare, something that Republicans have used as a symbol for their hatred over the last couple terms. But it didn’t work out, the bill collapsed and now it’s on its knees.
So what happened? Well, while the Democrats will be blamed for the failure of the bill and their staunch unwillingness to agree to anything that opposed their previous leader’s healthcare plan, this one is on the Republicans. In fact, it all boils down to Trump’s first few months in office.
Why it Failed
Trump’s presidency has not been a game changer, nor has it been a game ender. For the most part, it’s been a case of same-old same-old. We’ve had foreign conflicts, domestic drama. It is rather unusual to have so much drama so early on in a presidency, but US leaders are never too far away from domestic issues and foreign complaints.
One of the things that has defined this presidency though is the approval rating. Because whether you’re on Trump’s side or not, you can’t argue with the fact that he has the lowest approval rating of any US president. He has his diehard supporters (focusing on his success in business, the way he can help the US stock markets and oppose China), but for every 1 of those there are 2 detractors, and that’s why this bill collapsed. Camping has always been seen as something that Baby Boomers love and that every other generation has a deep contempt for. At least, that’s what countless sitcoms would have you believe. The truth, however, is quite different.
Camping is a popular past-time throughout the United States and it’s becoming even more popular. A report commissioned by camping website TentsAndCampGear.com discovered that the majority of Americans above 18 have camped at some point in their lives and most of them enjoyed it. What’s more, there are millions of Americans for whom camping is a regular treat, an alternative holiday choice that is cheaper, more enjoyable and offers more interactivity between family and friends.
They are not alone in their studies either, as many other reports have been conducted, showing that this hobby is on the rise and has been for a number of years.
Camping in 2017
According to the North American Camping Report more than 13 million Americans plan to camp in 2017. That’s just under 5% of the total population, a staggering number that bodes well for all the outdoor brands and retailers that now litter the US retail sector. FULL POST

In the 1950s and 1960s, many predicted that we would be living in space colonies, riding in flying cars and using hover-boards by now. None of that happened, of course, but many predictions that seemed outlandish at first, did come true.
We live in an extraordinary age, with new tech being introduced and new developments being made every single week. So, as we look to round-up the final half of 2016, a year that gave us fitness trackers, VR headsets and personal drones, let’s see what 2017 might bring.
