No Censorship of Atheists (or Christians) Here

Currently there are rumblings on a few blogs that I censored the comments on some of my recent posts, from atheists in particular. Not true. As best I can surmise, it seems that the Christian Post website crashed on Tuesday and I lost all the dozens of comments to my posts after May 8th. That includes my own comments, as well as those of people supporting me and those calling for my public flogging in the town square.

This is very frustrating for me, certainly no less so than it is for those who have seen their comments disappear.

So to all the atheists, wiccans, skeptics, evangelicals, Catholics, and angry fundamentalists of all sorts (Christian and non-Christian), feel free to post well argued rebuttals any time. (Even highly emotive castigations are welcome if they are sufficiently clever.) And be assured that I don't have the power (or will) to censor anything. If that ever does happen it will be due to a "higher power" (I mean the webmaster, although I wouldn't rule out a priori the possibility of a direct divine intervention).

By the way, it is disheartening that people would draw the very worst, and most conspiratorial conclusion so quickly, especially when a modest examination of the evidence would suggest there is no intelligent design behind this. After all, it is not as if only "negative" opinions were removed. I would have thought this obvious, but then it seems that some people are determined to be confirmed in their opinions no matter how flimsy the evidence.
