Continuing in Consistency

I must say one of the things that was very challenging for me through the years was consistency. It is challenging to stay consistent in a lot of things in life...exercise, cooking (that might just be me), etc...you get the idea. There were many times throughout training that I would find myself saying over and over "If you do that again I am going to spank you" and next thing you know I am in anger and would be tempted to think 'it's not working'.

Now, I'm not sure if you are reading this because you already spank your children and just need encouragement or if you were like me and took the opposite approach in the beginning and then realized that spanking is the resolve that God intended. Spare the rod spoil the child. I, of course, can only speak of the latter which means that I would get frustrated because I seemed to say "I'm going to spank you if you do that again" instead of just spanking. The bottom line is they already know what is expected and our lovely children are just still going to try to get us to do things their way. It is much less frustrating and much more beneficial to our children to simply spank each and every time because they really do know what is right and wrong.

One of the main reasons I started this blog and website was because I was the parent who didn't enjoy her children and couldn't understand how they were supposed to be a blessing until I started spanking NOT IN ANGER and not in FRUSTRATION but in a more "matter of fact" way. "You didn't listen" or "you did this and I said not to" or more simply put "You must obey" there is no question to obedience and this is not a fact that can be reasoned with in a small child. Then I started spanking and suddenly my children were a pleasure to be around. I would cry when I would leave them to go to work. I wanted them around all the time. Even now while I am writing this blog, snowed in (IN FLORIDA I might add - unbelievable), my boys are playing a board game while I am working and writing this blog. I enjoy them and they bring me joy every day of my life! We are a well working unit that loves to be around each other! Just the way a family should be!

One key thing to remember that this kind of behavior I spoke about is rebellion and rebellion is as witchcraft and witchcraft is trying to get someone to do something against their will.
