Amusing Hymn Lyric Errors

Funny typo changes the meaning of a hymn. P.S. The golf ball photo is from Scott Akerman on Flickr.

Typos and spelling errors can be very embarrassing in church newsletters and other publications.

Recently blogger Jon Acuff posted a list of such mistakes in church worship lyrics shared by readers of his blog.

One of my favorites involved an error in the hymn Lord, You Are More Precious Than Silver.

The word "gold" was transformed into "golf."

Another humorous lyric error involved changing "amazing love" into "amazon love."

I guess it is now time for me to proofread this post because I'm guilty of posting typos and spelling errors too.
