As a child attending a traditional Baptist church, I learned the song Count Your Blessings. This song is perfect for Thanksgiving. It was written by Ed­win Ex­cell and  published in 1893.

The chorus says:

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

So I decided to "count my blessings" and make a short list of things I am thankful for:

1. The opportunity to know Jesus Christ
2. My Family: Two wonderful parents and a sister that love God
3. Friends - 377 on Facebook
4. Church family
5. Good health
6. My job at The Christian Post
7. A warm place to live
